Dr. Maria Cancio, MD

Doctor Cancio has been so attentive with me and my 2 YO daughter. She looked over all of her scans before she even became her patient and always makes the time to call me whenever I’m concerned. She is undeniably the best doctor I have ever had the privilege of crossing paths with. I can’t say enough outstanding things about her & her team.

When I was searching for a second opinion for my son, I would send his records off to whomever would take the time to review them. Dr Cancio not only reviewed his records, but called me at home and discussed options with me regarding his treatment. She had agreed with everything that our current hospital had done but still said that we could come see her in NYC if we wanted to discuss further. We did not have any additional contact with her for about one year, but when we were up in NYC on vacation, my son was having issues. We called Dr Cancio's office to see if we could get an appointment. Not only did we get an appointment, she had called my son's pediatrician back in Alabama, to get the most updated information before our visit. The day we officially met Dr Cancio at our appointment, she was extremely professional and outstanding. She was very thorough and even ordered additional test that our pediatrician and hematologist back home had not thought of. She called us the… following day to give us his results and see how my son was feeling. She even called us back again the next day to check on him again and told us to bring him back to her office if we needed anything else while we were in the city. She went above and beyond. I highly recommend Dr Cancio!! She listens and truly cares about her patients.
