I’ve created a follow up appt for my son due to major eye swelling & the Antibiotics did not seem to work after 24 hours his eye seemed worse. She was not actively listening to the issue. My son is non verbal and has autism & i told her I think I should bring him to strong because something is wrong the swelling was absolutely worse, she denied me to go and started to just wait and that his eye looks fine fast fwd to the next day I bring him to strong he is diagnosed with orbital cellulitis and needed cr scan and I’ve medications all this could of been avoided if she would of listed and showed compassion. I should have followed my gut instead of listening to a doctor who kept mentioning how she will “retire soon” !! My son was hospitalized for 4 days and the infection spreader behind his eye can you imagine your 3 year old hospitalized for something that I had a gut feeling wasnt right but being told that he is fine & to wait for the ophthalmologist to examine. !!

I had Dr Banghart as my daughters pediatrician 16 years ago . She didn’t listen to my concerns about my daughters delays, she kept passing them off. Eventually after 8 months of her showing no signs of concern we left and went to Strong Hospital. My daughter was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus and CP. Deep in my heart I know the severity of my daughters disability is a result of Dr. Bangharts dismissive attitude. I’m surprised she is still practicing. Unfortunately the damage has been done and accountability factor wasn’t able to be pursued. My hopes is that Dr . Banghart gets wind of this review . Karma is waiting
