Dr. Maria Del Rosario Gomez, MD

This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. The nurses are just plain rude. Dr. Gomez told me symptoms I had could be "anxiety, a thyroid problem, or a heart murmur". Wide range of diagnoses with no reason or explanation which is incredibly unsettling for a patient. I was then told to come in for blood work. After I was already unsuccessfully stuck with a needle they then told me they FORGOT to tell me i was supposed to be fasting for blood work and that i had to come back. After already having to make to appointments and already having to take off work. This level of unprofessionalism in the healthcare industry is not only disappointing and frustrating but also incredibly scary for patients seeking care.

I have been waiting over 5 weeks for test results with NUMEROUS calls to the office without any success of getting a call back from Dr. Maria Gomez on these results. Today I left one last message for the doctor that if I do not get a call back today I will be filing a complaint with the FL Board of Medicine and the Department of Health. I will not be going back to this doctor ever again as this is the most unprofessional treatment I have ever experienced. Also the wait time for an appointment is 2 hrs. so if you have an appt at 3pm don't expect to be call in before 5pm.

Dr Gomez came highly recommended to me from a family member. I was able to get an appointment right away. I had to wait a long time in the waiting room, which was very warm, but she spent a lot of time with me, even answering questions I had in my head to ask her, before I asked them. She explained everything and was very thorough. I now don't mind having waited in the waiting room seeing as she apparently gives each patient the same respective time. It was such a nice change from the normal "rush you out the door" doctor.
