Dr. Maria J Iuorno, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Iuorno’s for almost 10 years. She is incredible. I will never forget my first visit with her: she wondered if I had PCOS, ordered labs which confirmed her/my diagnosis, and stayed vigilant in my follow up information/treatment. She also aided in my papillary thyroid cancer diagnosis, by initiating the ultrasound/biopsy, and setting me up with one of the best surgeons in the area. Not only has she been a great doctor to me, but she has also been my advocate regarding Type 1, Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism, and various other illnesses. It’s hard to have faith in the medical system these days, but she has helped me push through, regain my confidence, and stay as healthy as I can be. I would and have recommend/ed her and whatever office she’s in to get the care they are seeking: they won’t regret it.

Dr. Maria Iourno has been my endocrinologist for many years. My case is complex, having had thyroid cancer and then changing levels after chemotherapy treatments and weight changes after breast cancer treatments. I have total confidence in her medical management. She is an excellent diagnostician, has a great bedside manner, and genuinely cares and explains her treatment plan. As a doctor myself, I highly recommend her!

This has been my doctor for many years and has provided me with excellent care. She always listens to my issues and tries her best to assist with them even if they are not directly related to my endocrine issues. I have referred her to many of my friends and family members over the years and they too find her very helpful.

She is arrogant and does not listen to patient & has no respect for patients opinion on different types of treatments. She is perfect for someone who will follow her orders without questions. Her treatments are purely textbook based and doesn't try to treat the disease but maintain it. I switched doctors and cannot be happier. Avoid her at all cost. We deserve better.

I cannot speak for other patients who rated Dr. Iuorno but I feel that she is a a very caring physician who always spends time with me. She is very knowledgable about PCOS and type 2 diabetes in particular and seems to want to help me understand my disease and take control of it.

She was so sweet and caring! She gave me so much information about PCOS and was will to deal with my symptoms and encouraging that it could be treated.

I have been a patient of Dr Iuorno for over 8 years. I drive 4 hours to see her and I would not trust my care to anyone else. She knows me and I trust her medical opinion. We may not always agree, however, I know she has my best interest in mind with every recommendation she makes.

I have been seeing Dr. Iuorno for almost 10 years now and 2 office changes. She is a wonderful person and an excellent doctor. I have referred many people, including family to her. Dr. Iuorno has done LOTS of research on PCOS and I credit her knowledge to me being able to conceive my son and cope with life with PCOS. As for the office hours, I think that after seeing patients, teching, and research, she should be able to pick her own hours and spent time with her family.
