Dr. Maria Elena Pena-Ariet, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Pena-Ariat starting at age 5. I was adopted from Russia and my family and I had many issues until I was 18 (we have been estranged on and off since I’ve been an adult on my own). But I was prescribed anti psychotic medication by her at that age, off label, for ‘anxiety’. That is literally unheard of and to mess with a child’s brain chemistry that young is a very dangerous game. Psychiatry is a field that is not researched as well as others fields of medicine, and the research is funded by the pharmaceutical companies so what was done to me at that age was experimental…I’ll never forget how scared I was as a child to visit this doctor, and I’ll never forget my experiences at that age that have since dissuaded me from seeking any sort of mental healthcare as an adult on my own.

When I met Dr. Pena-Ariet, she gave me such a positive and nonjudgmental vibe, it made me feel comfortable. She was fair and made sure everything turned out perfectly. Thank you doctor!

Today I met Dr. Pena-Ariet it was our first meeting but I really felt just completely comfortable I felt like she was unjudgemental and truly cared listened was patient and feel she really wants and has my son in her best interest. I felt safe and trustworthy with my son in her care.

This dr. Can't deal with patients. She needs to move them through her office as quick as possible. She stopped seeing our family because it was to difficult for her.
