Dr. Maria Romano Mcgann, DO

I first saw Dr. McGann back in 2019, when I tore, my meniscus in my left knee. She was very professional and nice, she sat with me and explained the procedure that I will be going through to repair my meniscus. She showed my xray and everything that was involved with the procedure. She talked me through everything!!!!! fast forward to today.....Which is 6/2026... I tore my meniscus in my RIGHT knee, and I came back to visit Dr McGann, and she is going to be repairing that meniscus as well. I absolutely love her. She's amazing professional, nice and shows concern. She really gets to know her patients.

My visit was on time, smooth and just what I needed.

My visit was quite pleasant. It was a pleasure to meet Dr. McGann for the first time. I didn’t feel like just another patient. I felt like she really understood my pain. She was very helpful and very informative. Thank you Dr. McGann

In my opinion, the doctor is highly professional; she knows exactly what she is doing, communicates very effectively with her patients, explains things clearly, and genuinely cares about their recovery. She possesses the true vocation of a doctor.

So on their website they say they are surgeons . I go there pay a $40 copay . She is not a surgeon . She tells me everything i already know about my back . Im looking to have surgery. She says their surgeon quit about a week ago . So why am I here talking to you . Do not have your website say you are surgeons . What a waste of time . She referred me to some one . But thats why I went there I was referred . Total waste of time . One of the surgeons She referred me too works at the River Forest office . Why not say hey should go to our other office . Very upset I wasted valuable time and $40 copay . Would not recommend this place at all .

Dr. McGann is a great surgeon. She's very attentive to patients, she listens, provides all the necessary information and is a great advocate for her patients.

Dr McGann is simply incredible. Helping me understand so much about my aging wounded ankle and ways that I can approach healing and strengthening the ankle. Highly recommend Dr McGann as a partner in your journey to heal. She helped with a previous ankle injury and am so happy.

This is my personal experience with Dr Maria McGann. I saw her for severe foot pain and trusted her recommendation for ankle surgery. She assured me the procedure would relieve the pain and help me run again. Instead, I now live with constant surgical pain that did not exist before. My operated foot is a full size bigger, my ankle barely moves, and attempts to move it cause intense cramping and spasms. I spent a full year in physical therapy with no improvement. Two other doctors later reviewed my imaging and told me, in their professional opinion, I did not need the surgery Dr Maria McGann performed. One even shared that he had treated other patients of hers with similar issues. This review reflects my personal outcome and regret. I urge anyone considering surgery with Dr Maria McGann to seek multiple independent opinions first.
