Dr. Maria T Thanjan

Dr. Maria Thanjan is a board certified Pediatrician specializing in Pediatric Cardiology practicing at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens located in Flushing, NY. She received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, completed her residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is the Director of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Thanjan is dedicated to treating children with congenital heart disease. As a mother and a survivor of congenital heart disease herself, she has a unique perspective in counseling her patients and their families. She has a particular interest in pediatric echocardiography and cardiac imaging. Dr. Thanjan also specializes in fetal echocardiography allowing her to make the diagnosis of congenital heart lesions prenatally.
