Dr. Marian Antonette Sampson, MD

I have had 2 bad experiences with Dr. Sampson. The first was for my Caesarean section which she performed at Brandon Regional Hospital. I explained to her on my visit before my c-section that I suffer from anxiety and had a small panic attack during my last c-section, she assured me that she was going to bring in headphones with music so that I could wear them to take my mind off the procedure. When she got into the OR the nurse asked her and she flippantly repled "Oh, I ain't got no music, I forgot that". Next, after my c-section she did not order the nurses to put a binder on, hence I had a lot of swelling and I had to request the binder on my own. I don't know what the reason was to this day but I was hospitalized again one week after being discharged from the hospital. The next bad experience, she performed a circumcision on my newborn, it would not stop bleeding, she had to take silver nitrate and cauterize it for it to stop, my heart broke, my poor child was in agony. I would… never ever let her touch me again. She talks a lot and seems like she cares, but at the end of the day she really does not. That's my personal experience with her. The other doctors in the practice are amazing, she does not fit in there.

Dr. Marian Sampson is AWESOME! She was patient, professional, and knowledgeable. I had been going to another OB/GYN for a few years, and they were good, but Dr. Sampson and her staff are AMAZING!!

Dr Sampson delivered my baby girl and she was amazing though all my doctors visits and delivery. We need more docs like her.

I went in after I had started birth control for the first time and had something that looked similar to an umbilical cord in my diva cup. After I had tried to briefly explain to her what had happened she just said “I doubt that” so I told her I had a picture of it and she refused to look at it and sent me home.

Dr. Sampson delivered my 9lb 3oz baby boy via repeat C-section. She did a beautiful job and I recovered and healed as well as I could of hoped for. She has been very honest, down to earth, and I can tell she greatly cares about all of her patients, both mother and baby. Sometimes the appointments went by fast but she spends the time with the patients that need it. She always answered any, sometimes silly questions I had. And had a way of making me feel at ease. It is rare to come across doctors like Dr. Sampson now a days!

I loved having her deliver my little girl... Best doctor ever!!! Wish she would come back to vero beach..

Confused me with another patient the day of my surgery. Was 3 hours late to my surgery. After surgery she didn't want to see me and send me to ER, so I ask her for my file and she was extremely rude. Went to a much more experienced Dr. And he told me that the surgery was in necessary, I just needed a treatment for what I had. Horrible experience, NOT RECOMMENDED.

I love Dr. Sampson or as my husband and I call her Sammy.... She has been great with me during my pregnancy and after. Has always taken time to talk with us and explain everything. Wish there were more Drs like her in this world.

She does make u feel as if ur a nut. You leave ur appt feeling as if ur incompetent even if u go in knowing what's the problem. I'm there for her help but she only provides a lecture of why not to go thru the one thing u know would eliminate the specific problems u have been going thru for the past 10 yrs. I'm more depressed now than ever. As a female dr u would expect to better understand or at least be more sympathetic!!
