Dr. Maricela Cantu

She so nice and she makes you feel comfortable in the appointments but what I didn't like was that in my labor she poped my water and left me there and went to go deliver someone after hours when I could had have him earlier than I did and when my son was born he was purple I was worried but thank god he was healthy but that's my big complain about her

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cantu. I had a very complicated pregnancy and she was there for me every step of the way. I could call on her at any given time whether day or night. When I was in labor she was on vacation and was there to deliver my son. I felt as though she was really concerned. She was always friendly, down to earth and professional. I am forever greatful to her, she made sure that my son and I were taken care of. I would definitely refer anyone to her. The only thing I regret about Dr. Cantu is that she isn't here anymore!

Dr maricela Cantu, at Pasadena woman's center is an ok dr overall when it comes to annually check ups. Although with every prenatal visit I've had with her I seem to end up sitting at the dr office for 3 hours literally. 45 mins waiting in lobby just to pee in a water cup and have your vitals taken, then they send you back out to lobby to wait another 45 min to an hour just to be seen by the dr. During my visit I had some very important concerns about what one of her nurses called me and explained to me, when I tried expressing my concern to ms. Cantu, she was rude about it and acted like didn't have the time to talk to me about anything. She rushed the visit and when I spoke up about it she told me that if I didn't like the way she does things I can go some where else. Im s she'd orry to say, but im uncomfortable with having my prenatal care done by an individual who basically could she care less or can't even have accurate results, its like she'll tell you one thing and then turn… around and tell you the complete opposite. This is my life and my child so to me its a serious matter. Every visit I've been unhappy, even their ultrasound tech with the short hair, now she's not rude but she did rush the ultrasound and didn't even show or explain anything at all, being 17 weeks I asked her if she could possibly tell the gender, she didn't even try looking. I even had to ask for the ultrasound picture. I don't know what is up with this dr office, ive been going there for over 4 years but my ob has always been dr Diaz, unfortunately recently moved locations. I was content then, never had any issues but now I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone especially for prenatal care.

Dr. Cantu is great! very thourogh and kind. She listens and spends time with you!
