Marie Theresa Altimari, MD

I saw Dr. Altimari once, for my annual, during which she interviewed me and had a nurse do bloodwork, but Dr Altimari never bothered examining me. Over the course of the year in which I was supposedly her patient, I asked to see her two times about specific issues that came up. She wouldn't see me either time but scared me to death by saying I need to go to the ER right away because I may be dealing with a medical emergency. I fell for it the first time, and ended up paying a lot for an ER doctor to essentially tell me there was no reason to come to the ER for my issue. I didn't fall for it the second time, and went to urgent care, where a nurse practitioner was very surprised to hear that my doctor had suggested I go to the ER for a benign matter. In short, I saw no value in being her patient.

I've seen her a few times as she is my new doctor due to my work insurance plan changing and EVERY time I have an appointment I have to wait 2 1/2 hours after my appointment time just to see her. I don't get it.. I've had other doctors and I've never had to wait 2 1/2 hours to see them. NEVER! The most I've waited for the other doctors was 45 minutes. I was told she in the office on Mondays, but whenever I call on a Monday she isn't there. Then when I am able to make an appt the majority of the time its a month later. :(
