Dr. Marie Francine Bruyneel

so busy at satellite sights hard to get a timely apt.

My appointment was an obvious inconvenience. I was never even allowed to complete my paperwork much less an actual exam. I was rushed and scolded for not asking for a particular exam. I have not seen this MD in several years did not receive any information requiring that I tell her how to exam me.

My first visit should have been my first clue. After being examined and talking various things and leaving the room and coming back, deciding to do a biopsy. She numbs me up and then decides I probably don't need a biopsy then she takes a huge chunk of me anyway. She leaves with the slide and her NURSE diagnosis me correctly in one look. 10 days of antibiotic later I'm cured. The other two visits were for possible squamous cell spots because I had already had one removed a few years previous by another doctor in another city and she is disinterested, makes me wait, does the procedure, never says anything about what she thinks or what she is doing. I have not been back to her. I have seen two other doctors in her practice and I won't name names but they were just as disinterested and condescending and I've ever had.

I have been Dr. Bruyneel's patient for about 7 years. I originally saw her for a mole on my back. I have many moles on my body. She removed the mole on my back without incident and checked the rest of my torso. I went back 6 years later to have other moles checked, and she removed two for biopsy and when the results came back, she had to remove a larger area of one of the moles. Just a few weeks later, I was at a yoga class and another dermatologist in my class (who knows I have a dermatologist) pointed out some other moles on my arms and back that he said I needed to have checked. I called Dr. Bruyneel and scheduled a full body check. Her nurse called me back a few weeks later (my appt was still weeks away) to tell me that the person who scheduled my appointment didn't know what she was doing and that Dr. Bruyneel was not taking new patients. I explained that I was an established patient and she said Dr. Bruyneel was not doing full body scans. I told her my concern and that of… another derm and she said she would talk to Dr. Bruyneel and get back to me. My originally scheduled appointment was over 1 month ago, which the nurse cancelled, and I have never heard back. It's irritating to be established with a doctor and to seek preventative healthcare only to be told the doctor is no longer performing this service. I can understand if it's a lengthy cosmetic procedure that the doctor chooses not to perform, but not when it comes to cancer prevention. I will not be returning. And like other patients have stated, the wait time was incredibly long and my appointments were quite rushed.

I have been twice for the same issue - over an hour wait past appointed time. barely looked at rash - not sure what it was or what to do - 'try this cream, if it does not work we will do a biopsy"

Love her; loved the staff. Thought they did an excellent job. Planning on going back!

I made an appt with her because the other Dr in the clinic wasn't taking new patients.. My first appt literately took 15 min from check in to paying. Not bad except it was my very first visit to a dermatologist and she came in sat down and literately began writing prescriptions without much convo, she was in and out. I felt like I was cheated... I called in a week later because the medicine was making my face peel horribly... I was told it is suppose to do that. I went back for my follow-up and not only was I worse off than I started, she had written my prescription for 4x the strength it was suppose to be... The second visit was very quick but I got more out of it because I consistently asked her questions I had and she seems a lot less rushy with me... I got a prescription for two more things and now a month later I am coming up on my third appointment and I am still no where with my acne problems. I just feel at $50 a visit and $150 per visit to the pharmacy each time, with one… prescription being totally the wrong one I wish results at least started to show... over $400 later and I am debating about my next visit. Also, the office didn't tell me that she was only in Benton on Wednesdays and that she is the only one taking new patients. I tried to switch doctors because Wednesdays are not good days for me to do doctor appts and I was told I had to go to LR if I didn't want to be seen on Wednesdays, they were willing to loose a patient rather than put me with the doctor that is in the Benton office everyday.. I don't quite understand that concept?

I had originally had a wart on my hand when I first started to go to Dr. Bruyneel. At first, I LOVED HER. It took no time at all in the office and I thought that the wart issue would go away after being frozen. But NO. It came back, but this time bigger. I went back another time, and she tried freezing it again. Again, the wart came back. She tried to use the new medicine candida that they use to prevent warts, and help the body realize that it should reject the warts. This did absolutely nothing. She then tried shaving it off. I thought for sure that would do the trick. Nope. She tried to freeze the actual wart and area around the wart, and it finally worked. But I have a nice scar on my hand from the lovely memory. In my opinion, if she would have done it right the first time, I would not have spent so much time in the dermatologist's office [this started when I was 13 and I am now 19]. I feel like she spent more time talking to my mother while freezing my warts, rather than spend… time focusing on why I was there.

Gives excellent care, is cautious to problems and listens to the concerns of the patient.
