Dr. Marie Judith Carter, DO

This is the best doctor ever - and I have seen A LOT. I live out of the country and she always works with me for appointments, tests and prescriptions. It can be very trying working with someone who lives in another country. Besides having a wonderful bedside manner, she is extremely intelligent and works hard to insure your health is as good as it can be.

Run, run, run as fast as you can away from this woman. She is a sorry excuse for any patient. DON'T trust her, she will only harm!!!!

I always feel comfortable with Dr. Carter, never feel rushed or unimportant!

Staff is horrible. Cannot get call back in the 24 hours it states on message. They send out drug testing and it is not in office like the PA says. Most times you see a PA and not the doctor. Four people in my family have same issues with call backs and getting billed for drug testing.

office nurse never called me back after 3 attempts of calling office-am having an issue after procedure that was not even mentioned that it could happen-i am disgusted with the whole operation

I have never been so appalled, disappointed, or frustrated by a doctor/dr's office as I have been with Dr. Carter and her staff! I went to her as she was referred by our insurance. She performed my daughter's surgery, but not before going through her RUDE (and erroneous) staff. We've had the receptionist argue that we weren't a patient there, even went so far as to HANG UP on us. I've had her nurse not know which surgery she was suppose to explain, leave the door wide open while my daughter was undressing, and generally not seem to know which way was up. I've had a surgery follow-up appointment cancelled by the nurse calling me 20 minutes before the appointment and asking me to call back to reschedule. I've called back TWICE and left a message to reschedule with no one returning my call yet (2 weeks later). I am reporting to my insurance provider and everyone else I can find!!

I was a patient of DR. Carters for about a year and she did one of my multiple surgeries i had. at first i felt she was very good at what she did and really enjoyed being a paitent of hers. then the complications started and everything went downhill. her nurse is by far the craziest person i have ever met and tries to make decisions that only Dr. Carter should be making, not a nurse. and Dr. Carter allows her to make these decisions. One week after the surgery she did for me i called into her office complaining of horrible pain and seeing as i have been through this same surgery multiple times i knew something wasnt right. when i showed up for my appointment i was told everything looked great and everything that was wrong was simply because my surgery had only been a week before. the next day i wound up in the ICU. Dr Carter then tried to take no responsibility for me being in the hospital. it has been issues like this that make me caution anyone who is considering using Dr. carter or… her affiliates to take time to look her up. one thing you cant find on the internet that i was informed of by a nurse that worked close with alot of the doctors that knew dr carter said she has multiple malpractice claims against her from a couple years back. dr carter is a good person but her practices and staff are very unprofessional and could use some sympathy ( especially her nurse).
