Dr. Marie-Gabrielle J Reed, MD

Saw this provider when my daughter was in grade school..she had diagnosis of ADHD with dome anxiety. Dr.Reed evaluated my daughter and came to the conclusion I didn't know how to "parent". Well this horrible mom supported her ADHD daughter in Vet School and saw her graduate with a 3.8 GPA. Even back then she was taking things out of context and not supporting her "opinions" with facts. After reading some of the other reviews I see she has not changed her diagnostic methods.

Dr. Reed relies heavily on methodology that is seen as unreliable and no longer being taught in graduate school programs. She makes unsupported leaps and ignores actual facts that don't support her knee-jerk diagnoses. She attempts to convince her patients they will require "long-term therapy" after only a few sessions, no doubt to build her practice. I found her to be completely incompetent and unethical as supported by my subsequent therapist.

I am VERY CONCERNED based on my own family experience, about children seeing Dr. Reed. If you insist on seeing this doctor, NEVER leave her alone with your child. It was our experience and confirmed by a second opinion, that DR. REED constantly misinterpreted projective tests - tests that have continually been proven unreliable and flawed diagnostic tools. She also refused to release her records to a second therapist when a second opinion was sought.
