Dr Griffin listened, helped me adjust my medications. A major life improvement.

I was referred to Dr. Griffin by my primary care physician for rapid onset type II diabetes. In the three months it took me to get an appointment, on the medication my primary put me on, my AIC went for 14 to 6.4. Griffin changed my meds and over the course of the year I had highs and lows in my blood sugar ranging from 450 to 20. When I expressed concern that I had been doing so well on the meds prescribed by my primary and not so well on my current meds, she told me she was the doctor and would be the judge of that. She increased my meds- after which increase I begin experiencing serious constipation and difficulty in urination. I gained 30 lbs in 3 months and she yelled at me for gaining weight; did not listen to my concerns about the weight gain being related to the medication at all, and instead increased the medication again. Her staff said the difficulties I was having were due to the disease- however when I went off the meds, I stopped having the problems. Don't waste… your time here...

This practice is the worst. After seeing a fellow Dr. Mercado and having her dismiss serious side effects from the Ned's she put me on, my primary Dr requested I be switched to Dr. Griffin. To say it was pulling teeth is a massive understatement. My Dr had to beg and plead her case as to why I should be seen by her and once I was she too was dismissive of my side effects and concerns with the meds I had been taking. After not being seen for a year because I opted to visit a naturopath, I called to make an ally and was told I was considered a new patient again and she would have to review my file and determine if she wanted to see me for treatment. After 3 phone calls and a month of waiting, her nurse finally called to say she didn't want to see me a new patient with previous treatment by her. Anyone who suffers from endocrine issues knows a month is a long time to wait for an answer when you don't feel good. Don't bother with this dr. Her attention to patients and their needs lacks to… say the least as does her empathy.

Went to her with small nodes on my thyroid. She took a biopsy and said it looked inconclusive and recommended surgury to remove the tyroid. Throid was removed and perfectly healthy. Now I am fighting to keep synthroid levels correct and paying a lot for the medications. Thanks doctor (?)

From the first visit I knew I was in good hands. Dr griffin changed and adjusted medicine for my type 2 diabetes. My life is wonderful now. I can't thank her enough. She takes the time to listen to you and gently guides you for the maximum benefits for your healthcare . She is what a doctor should be. Knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate, patient. Thank you .

I've been going to Dr. Griffin for a few years now and love her. I have type I diabetes and after moving from Saint Louis to Kansas City, I really struggled to find a good endocrinologist. The ones in the past didn't really take time to understand how I managed my diabetes and Dr. Griffin immediately corrected me and since then my blood sugars are looking amazing. She's so comfortable to talk to. The office is very friendly and her educator, Glee is really awesome as well. She is very busy, and is hard to get appointments immediately but she's really worth the wait, especially if you care about your health!

Wonderful Doctor. She takes the time to listen to her patients and she really seems to care. She thinks "outside the box" when it comes to treatment so that her patients truly get individual care. She even calls you at home to find out how you are doing! Most docs wouldn't do that. I highly recommend Dr. Griffin

Although as a new patient it takes a couple of months to get in to see her, she is worth the wait!! I had been ill for a couple of years and over the last year it was much worse. I had to push and push my docs to test for Hashimoto's. My tests came back positive. Although I knew that was ONE of the reasons for my illnes, I thought it was not the whole issue. I got a referral to Dr. Griffin. She spent over an hour with me on my first visit taking a thorough medical history. She treated me as a WHOLE person - not just a "thyroid" patient. She said she also felt there was more going on than just my Hashi's. She also diagnosed me with gluten allergy and said my chronic sinus problems are also partly to blame for making me ill. At her suggestion, I have been gluten free for a couple of weeks and I feel SO much better already! I am working on the sinus issues as well. Dr. Griffin also prescribed a sustained release T3 to help optimize the synthroid I'm on (this is something a lot of other… endocrine docs won't do.) She is VERY thorough, very open minded and a GREAT educator of her patients. I would highly recommend her. Thanks to Dr. Griffin, I feel like I'm getting my life back!
