Dr. Marie Hae Menke, MD

Absolutely the worst experience from any provider !!!! I have had PCOS diagnosed for many years. I moved to pittsburgh and had to change providers seeing her reviews I went. She ordered a ton of unnecessary testing and when I asked why they said it was standard testing for any women with fertility problems.... I WAS NOT TRYING TO CONCEIVE!! I made that very clear! I just needed symptom management. They charged me for all these tests plus the visit and never told me it was a self pay only and you were unable to make payment plans. I spoke with the billing department ( this is during a pandemic when many are out of work ) and she told me they would take me straight to collections if not paid in full in 2 months!!! So not only was I being forced to pay for unnecessary testing now they were completely in willing to work with me on payments. And then to top it off she refused to order any of the meds I was taking prior with no explanation besides “ I just don’t do that” she referred me to… see a endocrinologist ( I don’t have diabetes or a thyroid disorder I have PCOS) and that doctor wanted 2500$ and 100$ a visit what kind of scam they are running ! Do not see this practice for PCOS!!

I had experience with Dr. Menke at reproductive center. I was freezing my eggs. Through the process I saw Dr. Menke only once. Before I paid for the procedure. She prescribed a very aggressive hormonal protocol to me. I had hard time handling that and ended up with overstimulation. She never was available to see me during the treatment. I had to see some other young doctor who kept putting me on Xanax. I asked to review my protocol but Dr. Menke never changed it. Before my eggs retrieval I had 34 follicles. It is a lot. But my estrogen level got so dangerously high - they had to put me on subsiding medication which I believe had destroyed many of my eggs. After the surgery - (she wasn't there) I called and finally got to talk to Dr. Menke over the phone. I asked her why from 34 follicles I ended up with 12 eggs? She simply said that she doesn't know. I paid for the procedure out of my pocket and I am a healthy person.

She will not work with/help fat patients. Save yourself the embarrassment and see another doctor.
