Dr. Marie A Simon

Dr. Simon and her staff are the best dental practice I have ever experienced. From check in to walk out, the staff is welcoming and detailed and their work is great. Dr. Simon has done more than 4 of my fillings and treats my whole family. Recommend to everyone.

I stayed with this practice longer than I should've after being frustrated after I left my cleanings every 6 months. Each appt. for a cleaning was two hours and Dr. Simon isn't friendly or thorough. When I finally did switch practices, this practice refused to send my records and X-rays to the new practice!! Then, my new dentist uncovered that the fillings Dr. Simon had put in, were never cleaned or sealed properly and now I have decay resulting in the need for crowns. I'm beyond frustrated that I have taken such good care of my teeth and that the dentist I trusted did not do the same.

Horrible service.

I am new to the area and needed to find a dentist quickly. I had called this office and was offered a couple of different times to see the doctor. Once I arrived I loved the look of the office, ( a mini art gallery!) I was met by the front desk person, who was friendly. I had a conversation regarding my dental insurance. I was aware that Dr.Simon was not in my network , but I proceeded to stay for the appointment. I was not happy with the wait time but I knew that had squeezed me into their day. The doctor is very nice and explained the issues with my tooth. I was required to seek care from a root canal doctor. The front desk called about three offices for me to find someone who would see me that day. I thought that was especially nice, since my past experiences have shown office to not do this extra step for patients. I would recommend Dr. Simon to others- do expect extra wait times though.

I just had a root canal on my last natural molar with an the endodontist and he told me told me the reason ive had all these issues with cavities and root canals for all these years is because of severe dry mouth (ive been on medications for many years that cause the dryness). Saliva is what protects our teeth and aids in fighting cavities. I take good care of my teeth and have seen dr simon for roughly three years. She knew i was on medications that cause dry mouth which i disclosed in my medical history sheet. Do you think she would have wondered why i had numerous appointments with her for all these years dealing with constant cavities and root canals and tooth extractions, but my teeth look healthy because i brush and floss all the time? What a grave disservice she did for me in doing my dental work and not even consider the consequences of dry mouth. Id say i spent easily 10 grand in total for the times ive seen her. Im not a dentist..i would have never known this medical… fact unless a dentist told me. Now i feel that they viewed me as a cash cow. Dont go there. The front desk manager is horrible to deal with and there are always problems with her and billing. The office is next to a Subway restaurant and a stong food smell permeates that office constantly, sometimes smelling like oregano or onion. Lastly, there's a monstrous glamour shot lighted picture of her taken many years ago thats heavily airbrushed. The monstrosity is illuminated at night at the tiny giant eagle/cvs plaza where the practice resides. The photo of her is also on her business card. A few years ago, one of my coworkers needed a dentist and i gave him dr. Simons business card. He laughed and asked if the glamour shot was the dentist. I said yes, and he respectfully declined..he couldnt go to someone that vain and self important.

Dentist is very good, but office staff is very rude and not flexible with billing and a hassle to deal with. Any request to have dentist call you is met with resistance and ends up being futile. Save yourself the aggravation and consider going to another practice. Dr. Simon is good at what she does, but dealing with the front office person and the constant billing issues are a nightmare.
