Dr. Marijane Quillen Boyd, MD

Literally the worst doctor I have ever been to. Worst bedside manner of any physician I have ever met with, ever. Cruel, very rude, impatient, and just very, very mean. My mom, brother and sister in law are medical doctors, and this woman is not the norm at all. Most doctors have some level of kindness and compassion, this woman is a vile, cold creature. She will also incorrectly diagnose you in order to try and secure more money. I regret letting her touch me.

I had Dr. Boyd for my first son in 2001. She was straightforward and very professional. She is greatly blessed and skilled. It was a beautiful experiences

She is cruel and crazy. She followed me outside when I went to get my credit card when I've always paid my bills right away- she had no reason for this. She never wants to answer questions or take time to explain things. Her temperament is rough and abrasive. She will always have magical follow up bills that come out of nowhere also. She was the only doc I could an opening with right away when I moved to the area- I quickly figured out why.

The first thing Dr/ Boyd did at my first appt. with her was take me in her office and interrogate me about my insurance and whether or not it was going to pay for my exam. I am 70 years old and have been getting pelvic exams since I was 14 years old. I have never before experienced such an uncomfortable and painful exam as I got from Dr. Boyd. She is rude, arrogant , rough and uncaring. Mary D.

I was bleeding due to blood clot and need to be on blood thinner. I went on a Friday and was told to come back Monday to get shot to stop bleeding so bad that I couldn't stand up because it would pour on the floor even with pad. I pressed as to why and she said she wouldn't bill me for the shot on he same day she saw me. So she would let me bleed and get more anemic instead of doing what was in best interest of patient. Also did a more aggressive procedure for pre-cancer cells than was necessary. And did too many pals after. Told procedure wasn't necessary and supposed to wait a year for another pap. Now with good new doctor who is addressing issues and has them resolved.

This Dr. cold women. I can't understand how a women who lacks empathy can be listed as a specialist in menopausal and post menopausal issues. The only time she even smiled was to tell me I was wrong about something. This is how I find most of the male Gyns. Does the office even read these reviews? I am sorry I did not read these before I made my apt. This is why most females don't go get their yearly Pap!

I went to Dr. Boyd this morning for my annual pap. The things i did not like: I had to wait a long time to be seen. She was very rough during the exam, especially the manual exam. I've had lots of paps done, I've never had anyone this rough before. She kept telling me to relax & take deep breaths, which did not help the uncomfortable unnessary roughness. What I did like: the office seemed very clean. The gown i had to change into was really nice & it came in a sealed bag so it just seemed very sanitary. The girls in the office were all very pleasant. Will I go back: yes, I will go back to this office, but I will request a different doctor & when I meet that doctor I will tell her exactly why I requested anyone except Dr.Boyd.

I hope I just went at a bad time. My experience was awful! I had an IUD inserted and they were completely unprofessional, while she had me lying there on the exam bed dialated and in pain with the opening clamps still inside Dr. Boyd and the nurse ran in and out of the room looking for a tool they had misplaced. I never received anything to soften my cervix and I have never had children, I have never been in more pain in my life. I felt completely rushed and disrespected.

I guess my biggest concern with Dr. Boyd is her bedside manner. Considering the intimate nature of being examined, I prefer a doctor with a good bedside manner. Dr. Boyd, while very fast and thorough during examinations, can tend to have an abrupt and often "unapproachable" demeanor. I do agree with another reviewer about asking her questions. My husband and I are looking into infertility help and when I asked her what our next steps should be, she almost seemed at a loss for words and uncomfortable in her answer. She is "in and out" of the room so quickly that sometimes, there is no time to talk about any concerns or ask questions. I can't say that I've had any bad experiences with her. But, in my opinion, I would prefer a doctor who doesn't give the impression of a "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" approach when seeing her patients.

I have been using Dr. Boyd for several years and I love her as does my friend whom I referred.
