Dr. Marilena Sandru, MD

Dr. Sandru is the perfect doctor in my opinion. I'm in relatively good health but have had a few issues here and there and Dr. Sandru has always been wonderful. I feel listened to and she always makes me feel like she really cares. She or one of her staff members has always followed up very quickly with any questions or concerns, before or after visits. She's smart, kind, gentle, patient, thorough and listens. I love seeing a female doctor too.

I was diagnosed with gallstones pretty easily. I had been Googling my symptoms and confirmed with an ultrasound. It took sandru 2 days to return my call, and she told me to take ibuprofen. My attacks were growing increasingly stronger with no rhyme or reason to their timing. Eventually I called to request another solution, and was informed she recommended me to a surgeon already. She never told me this information and I suffered through 2 weeks of attacks. When I saw my surgeon she said "I'm surprised dr sandru didn't send you in immediately." Also, I got my lab test results from my surgeon but it would have been nice to hear the results from my Pcp. Also during all of this, she called in my prescription to a pharmacy and never told me. I found out at the pharmacy that my prescription went back to stock. Very frustrating, zero follow up, zero concern for pain and legitimate medical conditions. I would compare her to a witch doctor or a homeopathic doctor, she does not seek medical… solutions to medical problems. I'd find someone else.

Absolutely zero follow up. Had to call repeatedly to get any assistance. Would not recommend.
