Dr. Marilyn Ann Kubichek, MD

Sending praises to Dr. Kubicheck for her ability to provide timely and effective care for my child with ADHD. She is knowledgeable and thorough in her discussions and recommendations. She takes a patient centered approach and ensures that the child as well as the parent feels heard and understood. I appreciate her attentive care.

Dr. Kubichek has many rules: Pay before the visit, pay before records are sent, extra fees for using a credit card. Will not issue scripts beyond 30 days and requires visit for each renewal; even if the patient has been on the script, doing fine, and had lab checks, the MD will not issue a 90-day script. As to where the scripts are sent, patient economics and/or convenience is not a consideration. No eScripts. One of the 2016 reviews stated this MD was financially motivated. It's STILL true, along with arrogant and indifferent. MD had us ask all the teachers to fill out evaluation forms to determine med change, but the office lost the forms and Kubichek made the med change anyway. Extremely difficult to work with, even when our child had unwanted side effects from med change, found it exceedingly difficult to get the help we needed: No phone calls, no change in meds unless the MD can find a way to bill insurance. It's all about booking as many visits/televisits $$$ as possible.… Perhaps patient care is based upon insurance reimbursement levels? Dr. K never asked what our treatment goals were and always seemed agitated. My child was afraid to answer MD questions directly and whispered answers in my ear. We very much miss our prior neurologist (wonderful, but retired), who was collaborative, responsive, and never put unnecessary obstacles in the way of proper care. We do not recommend Dr. Kubichek.

Dr. Kubichek is an excellent doctor. She is literally a life-saver! She is professional, empathic and experienced. I have been seeing her as my neurologist for many years. She always spends a significant amount of time discussing my concerns, giving me options and deciding on the best course of action for my current condition and concerns. She is always interested in hearing about all of my health concerns. When I recently reported a change in my migraines, she suggested appropriate testing, and a tumor was caught. She has followed me through my surgery, through recovery and has shown care and concern throughout the process. She and her staff have always been supportive and available when I have needed them. I am grateful for Dr Kubichek’s medical knowledge and for her always pointing me in the right direction!

I have had many, many visits with this doctor for my children. She is very courteous and caring. She has only ordered testing that has been appropriate for each individual child. I appreciate that she runs on time and have never had to wait to be seen more than a few minutes. My children enjoy going to see her. She openly discussing their issues with them on their level and encourages them to ask questions so they always understand exactly what their treatment entails. This has especially helped my son deal with his tic disorder. Until she diagnosed him, he didn't understand what was happening to him. Now he knows and has become so confident in himself, knowing this is not something he can not control. I highly recommend Dr. Kubichek to anyone who is looking for a doctor who cares about their children. Working with Dr. Kubichek and my children,as a team, lead my family to a very successful school year. Again, VERY HIGHLY recommended!

My son has been a patient of Dr. Kubichek's from the time he was 8-14 years old. She has a terrific report with him and has always taken the time to explain to him what was going on and how he was going to be treated. We have had such a positive experience with her that I referred my sister to her practice as well. We are both very pleased with her diagnosis and treatment of our children from concussions to migraines.
