Dr. Marina Shtern

Dr. Marina Shtern is the best primary care doctor I have had in over 50 years. She is very patient, very thorough, and very communicative. Dr. Shtern emphasizes quality care and treatment plans- not quantity, necessarily. If you want to get in the exam room right on time and pushed out in a rush, go to another doctor who doesn’t care. Dr. Shtern cares.

Doesn’t communicate. Doesn’t care. At all.

I’m so thankful to have found this doctor. She is kind, caring, and really takes the time to listen. I never feel rushed, and she always makes sure all my questions are answered. She has helped me get my health into a much better place over the past 3 years, and I truly feel so much better now. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and thorough doctor.

As a healthcare worker myself, I am willing to drive a long way for quality health care. I have always had my preliminary info and observations gathered by nurse Terry, who is very approachable and kind. Dr. Shtern asks great questions, gives just the right amount of encouragement, explains all of your options and their related outcomes, checks on your self-care and arranges appropriate follow-up. Dr. Shtern is friendly and efficient. I don't hesitate to ask questions and raise any concerns I may have. I spoke so highly of Dr. Shtern that other family members have decided she is also their doctor of choice... and they know I am picky!

The negative reviews are the real ones. The others are probably generated by them. You can’t be as bad as she is and also get opposite reviews. That’s damage control. The Doctor is rude arrogant and degrading. She gave misinformation. The office practice is a money grab scam. I made an appointment for a physical and upon arrival- after waiting months for the appointment- I was told it was basically a meet and greet to go over my chart. When I tried to say what an issue was she told me I have to make another appointment and they will only talk about 1 issue per visit!!!!! What if they are related. I could go on but bottom line DONT GO THERE, she is not interested in practicing medicine just less work and more money.

Terrible experience visiting with Dr. Shtern. I agree with the other reviews regarding her rude, defensive, and condescending behavior. I have never witnessed this in another doctor. To be successful in this profession, there needs to be good bedside manners--empathy, leaning in, allowing questions and listening. I didn't experience any of these key behaviors. Will not be going back.

Rude, impatient, does not listen. None of the qualities one would look for in a doctor.

Do yourself a favor and find another doctor. I have never been treated so poorly by a medical professional. Incredibly rude and couldn't care less. She'll literally send you out the door with referrals to doctors who may or may not be able to help while you're trying to explain what's wrong. I thought she was very nice after my first visit but I was mistaken.

I have recently seen Dr Shtern for the first time at the practice I have been going to for years. Unfortunately the practice has had alot of changes lately. But I was pleased with my visit with Dr Shtern. She was so informative and extremely caring about my health. I found her to be a wonderful doctor and would recommend her .

After waiting in the exam room for 45 minutes I was extremely displeased. This the most belligerent, arrogant, hostile physician I’ve ever met and this was my first visit. Not a good first impression by any means! Her bedside manner is that of a pit bull. In response to my questions she treated me like a two year old and left the room in a huff slamming the door. Guess what Dr. Shtern? You’re fired!!!! (I normally see Dr. Ukropec , who is a 5 +star doctor , but she was not available. )
