Terrible. Saw him for 7 months, no improvement at all. He barely had an idea of what he was doing. He's very clearly burnt out and makes 0 effort to hide that from clients. He spent 5-10 minutes of EVERY single session complaining about his schedule and how tired he was. Horrible, terrible way to start a session. I just felt like I was bothering him, he made me feel like a burden even though I was paying A LOT for the therapy. He misgendered me EVERY SINGLE TIME! He never got my pronouns right, even ONCE. And when I would correct him, instead of correcting his language, he would give a gushing apology and then misgender me all over again. SEVEN MONTHS AND HE NEVER ONCE GOT MY PRONOUNS RIGHT. He also uses weirdly gendered language for EVERYTHING. He claims to know CBT and DBT, but isn't familiar at all with the modules and had to rely on books to know anything about it, almost felt like it was his first time working with these kind of techniques, like he would read the textbook and be… surprised. He also couldn't explain how DBT or CBT was supposed to help me as client. He also ignored my daily passive suicidal ideation and barely acknowledged it. He once wasted my entire session filling out insurance paperwork, I had to pay $145 for that. Awful and incompetent. He's not trauma informed and has no idea how to handle patients who suffer from suicidal ideation or depression, he often just referred me to 988 instead of taking 5 minutes just to talk to me - after previously telling me I could call him if I was in crisis. Awful. I wasted a lot of time and money on this guy, I'm pretty angry. I'm just glad I got away from Lifestance entirely and found better help. Being in therapy with him did more damage than good, cost me over 4k, and I got NOTHING from it. Tl;Dr: don't see this man, especially if you have severe issues like chronic depression, suicidal ideation, or issues like bipolar disorder. Don't do it. Stay away from Lifestance in general. He doesn't have much experience and he's ALREADY extremely burnt out, avoid Mario and lifestance
