My experience with Dr Profet is good.

Unfortunately one star is not an option. I had the displeasure of seeing dr. Profet today. i let him know my family history of diabetes and how I'm the only woman on my dads side without diabetes (I have 5 aunts and a sister who are) and my sudden weight gain with no changes in diet or activity, i let him know about my previous drs concerns with my thyroid and let him know I will need some testing done to make sure hormone levels are under control. i have some swelling on the side of my neck. Now i AM over weight. I'm 5'8 i weigh 260lbs I KNOW I am overweight! what I was concerned about was how I gained 50lbs in 4 months. Dr.moles told me he knew exactly what was wrong. he asked me if I knew what gastric surgery was where the stomach is made small etc, I replied yes. he then told me I should do that but the natural way... BY STARVING MYSELF.... he told me to starve myself when I asked him why would I do that he said because I'm obese!. he proceeded to draw me a picture on the paper… on the little bed on the room. the picture was a fat person( usa he wrote under it) and a stick figure under which he wrote Africa. he told the 2 people share a thought bubble (which he illustrated) that says "I'm worried about my diet." he says Americans have to much food where Africans are starving and worry where their next meals are coming from and that I should be more like the Africans and starve myself.. oh I'm African American btw... but anyways he kept going on he told me i would feel like I'm dying but assured me i would live! he told me to just drink water and when people offer me food i should take it and when they walk away i should throw it in the trash! he told me i should get all my meals to go and when no one is looking throw it away! i asked him while I'm doing this should i take vitamins because i have an iron deficiency and potassium issues he said "You dont need vitamins" Just dont eat and if i do because "it will be hard I should eat less than what I would give a small toddler and not eat anything for the next 12 hours. he also went on to say that" when I start losing weight and people tell me I look unhealthy and I should see a doctor because of the rapid weight loss I should tell them I've already been to the doctor and I haven't been hungry lately is all" This man is awful I couldn't believe it how and why would I possibly starve my self? SERIOUSLY?? I told him that hes suggesting I become anorexic and he replied "yes something like that, you dont need food to survive" then sent me on my ways sans bloodwork I requested to be done....
