Dr. Marisa Getter Deaton, MD

She is awesome, will actively listen to you, won't overmedicate, will give you excellent information on preventative measures and is very compassionate. To whoever said they didn't feel the warm and fuzzy doctor feeling, maybe you got her on a bad day. I saw this doctor years ago, then was without medical insurance and came back to see her again. She remembered most of my history, and had even looked through whatever she could in my old file to refresh. She's very dedicated and the best example of what a great doctor is. She's now Dr. Deaton at Mecklenburg Medical Group or something in Pineville.

After several visits, I still didn't get that 'warm/trusting' feeling that I normally get from doctors. I won't be returning.

The staff was decent but the doctor lost compassion once she had pulled the string of medical debt from various office visits leading up to "all for nothing" encounters. She proved herself to be a "lack of knowledge & sensitivity" doctor when she failed to walk in the patient's shoes even for one day. She is only out for the money just like most of 'em & not willing to get to the "root of the problem" or execute any true heart felt emotion when complications arise for the patient & her only solution is to brush the patient aside like a piece of debris. Definitely would not recommend her to anyone who has true medical needs.
