Marissa graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Economics and was a commercial banker for seven years. A class in nutrition, taken for personal interest, sparked a passion which led to a career change. She became increasingly interested in the mind-body connection, which resulted in earning an MA in Holistic Health Studies from Georgian Court University. She is also a Reiki Master and has a longstanding meditation practice.
