Dr Marius Leon Pessah

I have been seeing Dr Pessah since he first started his profession. What a caring Doctor. I worked at LIJ for many years and have always put my life in his hands. I relocate to Georgia I travel to NY just to see Dr Pessah for my medical needs. He takes time to diagnose any problems I may have, he returns all my calls if I am experiencing any symptoms. An example of how great he is I went to NY to see him with pain in my knee he said it’s not your knee it’s your spine something is sitting on a nerve. I was sent for an MRI Dr Pessah diagnosis was on target. You are the best. I am back home seeing another excellent Spine Doctor and a great Pain management Doctor these two Doctors are doing a fantastic job on me. Thank you so much Dr Pessah and all your staff for taking care of me over the years and most of all for giving me last minute appointments when I call. Dr. Pessah feels that the patient should fully understand any diagnosis and explains in such a way that makes it easy to grasp.He will take as much time as necessary to make you feel comfortable.

What a great doctor

The staff names Ms. Rosa F. ostensibly speaking on behalf and representing the decisions of Dr. Pessah have deftly avoided writing a medically urgent and time sensitive letter to request for cancer consultation. Ms. Rosa F. and staff will not write the letter because they are not familiar with the insured's cancer report, yet, Rosa, doctor and staff, on the verge of irresponsibility and being unethical, refuse to confer with the insured's surgeon for 10 minutes in order to be familiar with the cancer report that would allow them to issue the consultation letter required. It is shameful that we have to look for a new primary doctor after almost a generation just to get a consultation request letter. No one with cancer should be exposed to uncaring, and deliberately prevent dire medical attention.

Dr. Pessah is an extraordinary doctor. My mother had an unusual autoimmune disease and he diagnosed it quickly. I developed a different autoimmune disease many years later and he immediately diagnosed my illness also. He is a doctor who truly cares about his patients. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He is a brilliant man who keeps up with all the latest on treatments. We should have more doctors as dedicated as Dr. Pessah!
