She has helped adjust my meds and follows up to make sure it's working. She's very expensive, though.

Marjorie Gies told me that bipolar patients who do not take psychiatric medication for their affliction suffer brain damage. This is a false claim made by Frederick Goodwin on his NPR show The Infinite Mind which NPR cancelled when it was revealed he had been paid $1.3 million by the pharmaceutical industry (see NYTimes Radio Host Has Drug Company Ties). She is ill-informed and seemed to want to send me away with a new prescription without knowing anything about what was going on with me.

She is smart, friendly and knowledgable but she definitely is way too quick to push medications without throughout discussion w patient. I never felt like she was really that interested in me. Just trying to get the job done and move to next patient.

Vulnerable, with low self-esteem because I'd battled all my life with untreated ADHD, I finally sought help from a psychologist, who profiled me as needing prescription medication and referred me to Dr. Gies. I've found Dr. Gies' professionalism, compassion and excellent tailoring of medication for me has exceeded my expectations. Under her care, my life has taken a significant turn for the better.

Dr. Geis is just a mediocre psychiatrist. She's OK, but when a patient (me) had an emergency situation, my family and I were very dissapointed in her handling of my case...phone calls ignored, her manner was just passive, and she was not well informed. Very disappointed in her.
