Every time I visit this doctor I leave feeling like a bad mom for one reason or another - she seems to get hung up one things and then selectively listen. She does not seem to read through my child's chart or records at all before visits - leading her to insist I do things that he is known to be allergic too. Also diagnoses are tossed around and getting further information is like pulling teeth. New policies requiring different appointments for different reasons and not allowing combining of appointments (even ahead of time) leads to additional visits and time wasted for patient, parents, and doctor. The removal of any Saturday sick hours is also frustrating for DC parents looking for flexibility when their child is truly sick.

Dr. Mcknight knows her stuff!!!! She is a great doctor but her bedside manner is not so good. She has a way of talking down to you. If you do not write your concerns down to ask her the exam may be over and you are gone without adressing all of your concerns. She was very pushy about examing my 12 yo without me in the room. I did not like that. She should not impose her view of when it is time to be alone in the room with the doctor. I was not concerned about her saftey but there were some issues I would have like to ask and show her. I was not given the chance to be a part of her annual exam. Perhaps she needs to slow down and listen to parents more. I have gotten used to her bedside manner and continue to go there because I trust her medical opinion. You must assert yourself with Dr. Mcknight. Dr. Williams is the full package! She is smart and nice and patient, the perfect balance to the practice!!!

More interested in increasing their patient portfolio and overall revenue than spending quality time with patients and parents. less than 5 minutes during a visit; few questions to determine how child is developing (physically, socially, emotionally). Ok for parents who don't care about this, but for the more discerning parent, STAY AWAY!

I'm a FTM who comes from a family of medical professionals. Dr. McKnight is condescending and judgmental. I didnt feel welcomed or informed. Her partner, Dr. Washington is the complete opposite.

Dr. Mcknight has a poor attitude when it comes to a patient challenging her judgement. Not necessarly a medical judgment but overall office manner. I am a first time mom and I felt disrespected and my child was dicharged from the practice without any cause.

- I recommend Dr. McKnight very highly- We also get immediate attention. No long waiting- Wonderful staff- Beautiful inviting office- Well thought through diagnosis- Good follow-up to questions

Dr. McKnight and her partner, Dr. Washington always refer you to the Emergency Room after hours. I think they are just covering themselves (liability). She also failed to follow up on my request for a circumcision when my son was a newborn and then when I asked again told me he was too old. Not good. Dr. McKnight is extremely prompt, which is a valuable quality.
