Dr. Marjorie Jean Mcmaster, MD

I have been working with Dr. McMaster for about two months now and she is a godsend. It was so hard to find a psychiatrist that was knowledgeable and had a good beside manner and she is most definitely both! She does a great job of both listening and providing advice and really explains things in a way that anyone could understand. She also takes time out to make sure the patient is comfortable with the decisions that have been made during each session and does a great job of returning phone calls in a quick manner. I would recommend her to anyone, but especially to those who have had bad luck with previous psychiatrists or who have tried multiple medications. She knows how to get to the root of the problem and cares for her patients wellbeing. Her office staff is also very knowledgeable, quick to return phone calls and emails, and are kind (because I know it is off-putting when office staff are not kind or friendly).

I really appreciated the time that Dr McMaster spent with me and the caring concern she showed. The wait was a bit long but I got the time I needed and did not feel rushed.

She was very kind and caring. She listened to what I had to say and genuinely wanted to help me.

I honestly do not understand how she is allowed to work with people who have emotional problems. She was rude when I asked questions, dismissed most of the symptoms I told her about and generally made me feel like she was bored with me because I simply wanted to talk about my medication dosing. If you can help it, DO NOT make (or let Mayo make) an appointment with her. I gained nothing from the 15 minute visit than a feeling that I had wasted HER time.
