Dr. Marjorie Nathan Person, MD

NEVER see this “doctor”. I saw her one time and walked out. She spoke to me for 5 minutes, decided she didn’t believe my diagnosis that I had literally been treated for for years and told me she would remove me from all of my medications simultaneously which would have been EXTREMELY dangerous. She is incompetent at best. If you value your health NEVER see this person.

having seen several doctors throughout my adult life, I can honestly say that Dr. Person is one of the best, if not the best.

Dr. Marjorie Person was my psychiatrist for a year. I highly respected her and trusted her greatly. Today was my final visit with her. She kept me on medication I told her I didn’t like and would make me feel stupid and clueless when I’d ask her questions or try to talk to her about how I was feeling. I thought it was just her personality, but she is insensitive for a psychiatrist. During the past year, I gained 45 pounds and didn’t make any improvement mentally. When I left her office today, I sat in my car and cried for an hour. I looked up to this doctor and thought she genuinely cared about me. I was completely wrong.

They NEVER answer the phone ot call you back. They changed my appointment time without telling me. They kept recharging me for appointments I’d already had. And DR. PERSON told me there was nothing more she could do for me and to look into shock therapy. I went to stay in the hospital after that because I thought my life was over. They should be responsible for my hospital bills!! And Dr person should not be treating anyone!! Do not go here!!!!

She is rude, arrogant and very demeaning. My child went to her once and was humiliated and left in tears. Marjorie Person is obviously very arrogant by her bahavior but seriously needs to find another method of feeding her ego. She is a terrible doctor and I pray for and feel sorry for any individual seeking mental health to land in her office.

I am so happy I found Dr. Person. She has changed my life. She takes time to listen to what’s going on. I’ve been to many psychiatrists in the past but none have been as good as her

Spent maybe 30 minutes to have a professional assessment but ended up feeling like I was being interrogated rather than evaluated. Very insulting and quick to give haphazard "diagnoses". She may be a doctor on paper, but her professional skills are subpar. The negative reviews you see on other websites do accurately fit the description of my visit, and the 3 star review average was certainly deserved.

During my session, she told me she didn't need to hear about my loss.

I thought that Dr. Person was great. She is my favorite doctor. I wished she would have stayed in Raceland. We need more doctors like her.
