Dr. Mark Agulnik, MD

Dr. Agulnik is truly caring. Not all oncologists are both highly regarded by their peers as well as excellent in patient care. He was recommended by other oncologists we spoke with, which is why we chose to switch our care to him and his team at COH. We feel very fortunate to have him as our oncologist as we are dealing with a rare and aggressive cancer. If you have any doubts about his background and experience, just take a quick look in Google scholar at his published work. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Agulnik added extra clinic hours to meet with my husband and me just a few days after I'd been discharged from the hospital and told I had leiomyosarcoma. I was terrified and a bit in shock still, but Dr. Agulnik was so calm and present and made us both feel like "Yes, we can do this!" It has been a year since my diagnosis and he and his team, including PA Sue Abbinanti, have taken EXCELLENT care of me! They are so kind, up-to-date with the latest research, and patiently talk me through the plan (and my many worries) each visit. We are so lucky to have a sarcoma specialist like Dr. Agulnik in Chicago!!!! FIVE STARS!!

Dr. came to see us in the clinic on a Friday afternoon at 4 pm, 4 hours after he finished his clinic- because he knew we would be anxious to wait over the weekend. He was kind, compassionate and very knowledgable. Excellent experience.

I saw Dr. Agulnik yesterday for my first visit and am relieved and much calmer now. He took over an hour to explain to me in detail about my condition, the plan and what the future holds for me. I felt helpless going into the meeting and full of hope leaving. Yesterday was my first "good" day in a long while.

I am proud to be treated by the number 1 sarcoma specialist in the city. I am proud that he asks me about my children and even shows me pictures of his. I am proud that he is a human being with a great bedside manner.

I was sitting in the waiting room today and someone alerted me to a few "bad" reviews online for my doctor and I was shocked. I have been with Dr. Agulnik for 2 years and since day 1 he has shown me wisdom, heart, compassion and patience. I am not always the easiest patient- but he has shown me true respect. He is outstanding.

I have been a patient of Dr. Agulnik's for 7 years and reading these reviews made me cry. This is not the man, doctor or person I know. These reviews are very hurtful and I doubt accurate. I am sorry Dr. Agulnik that people have been so cruel. You are my angel.

Dr Agulnik is a very knowledge doctor in his field but has a horrible beside manner, zero empathy, and does not care about his patients well-being. Please see someone else who will care for you as a whole and see you as a person rather than a number.
