Dr. Mark Alkass, MD, FACOG

I am absolutely appalled of the lack of care. I can go on and on, but I'll stick to most recently. Dr. Alkass is nice, but he ALWAYS is in a rush. It's like everyone's a number and he just has to see them all as fast as he can. I barely get any questions answered because he's always out the door. But that's not the biggest problem. His nurse Shirley...where can I begin? She NEVER returns calls. She has an attitude and doesn't smile or anything. The ONLY times she returned my calls, DAYS LATER, was one: After I gave a bad review on the "how did we do?" email after my appointment (forgot to mention this is my first pregnancy, and I have lots of health issues.) Second time? I called one morning that I am bleeding and almost 7 weeks pregnant, what do I do? Never even bothered to call, even though I called back to say is Shirley in the office yet? She was they said, but still couldn't bother getting her on the phone. The receptionist told me to just go to the hospital, even though I wasn't… sure the bleeding necessarily warranted an ER visit. They lied and said they don't have ultrasound capabilities.....okay. I've had one done there. They refused to let me talk to someone else. They said doctor is in surgery, nothing they can do. After 8 hours and still being in the ER, I called the office and said I want to report Shirley for still not calling me back after I left a message crying saying I'm bleeding. Lo and behold, an hour later I get a call regarding my call from WEDNESDAY (it was now Monday) and also that she heard I was in the ER. Yeah. okay. what she really heard was that I was reporting her. DO NOT GO TO DR. ALKASS. Oh, and I was curious and went on Shirley's Facebook...she complains about work on there too. Very professional.

Dr. Alkass has been my doctor over 16 years now. He is trustworthy, kind and treats his patients with care. I would recommend him to anyone, he is knowledgeable and listens to his patients.

In the beginning i was very nervous. But the smoothness in his voice made me feel i had nothing to worry about.

I came in was having issues and the staff Took excellent care of me. Did all necessary test very quickly and got to the root of the problem .Then gave me options .scheduled me for surgery and I will be having surgery next month . I'm sure everything will go amazing. I full confidence in the team

This was my first visit to this office. The entire experience was good from check in. I liked the doctor a lot. He allowed plenty of time for my visit and questions. His medical assistant was very nice. I would recommend others to go there.

We couldn’t have chosen a better doctor throughout my pregnancy and delivery. Dr. Mark Alkass was always upfront, honest and to the point. His teammates Shirley & Jasella always shows kindness and compassion. They always ask how my family is doing and remembers my family by name. As time came closer to the end of my pregnancy, Dr. Alkass had a plan in place, and a scheduled induction is the route we took. Walking in for delivery we were greeted by the doctor and staff on the floor and the process was quickly started. As first time parents we were nervous, but he always kept us informed and gave great advice. My husband and I appreciate his style and will continue using him as my doctor. He also circumcised my son before we left our stay. My son was finished crying before he returned to the room and had no issues following. Dr. Alkass will forever be a huge part in our family and we can’t thank him enough.

Dr. Alkass is AWESOME!!! He REALLY listens to your needs and does not rush you off. Where was he when I had my kids!!!! I wish I would have known him back then. I highly recommend him. Most of the women in my family see him. He is a great Dr.
