Dr. Mark Edwards Allara, MD

I am a 70 y.o. male with a variety of ailments. Dr Allara has been the most thorough and attentive physician that I have ever encountered.

You just can't get through on the phones to anyone there. I don't think they have enough phone support for their office. I text, I go to the patient portal, I email with no results. Good luck getting through to anyone there.

Dr. Allara is our favorite Doc!! He treats my whole family like family!! We will never change doctors!!

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR REFUSED OUT OF STATE GRANDCHILDREN TO BE SEEN BY FAMILY MEDICINE. WE WERE MEMBERS FOR OVER 26 YEARS AND WERE BARRED FROM GETTING TREATMENT FOR LYME TICK BITE. WE HAD TAKEN GRANDCHILDREN IN FOR EAR ACHES AND BRONCHITUS 4 TIMES BEFORE. GRANDCHILDREN HAD HEALTH INSURANCE,GRANDPARENTS WILLING TO PAY CASH, ADMINISTRATOR REFUSED TREATMENT BECAUSE ALLARA WAS NOT LISTED AS THEIR PCP. OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR SAID DOCTORS WERE UNAVAILABLE TO TALK TO US ABOUT THIS. ADMINISTRATORS COMMENT"TAKE THE KIDS TO THE EMERGENCY WARD". SHOULD NOT EVEN GET ONE STAR FOR ANYTHING.

I have been a patient for over 15 years...now that the practice has grown and the office has multiple doctors, I feel like just a number. Only see Dr. Allar one time a year, if I call with something he is never available...have to see the Nurse Practioner, if I want care. My yearly physical used to be about 20-30 minutes...consisted of a 5-10 minute conversation, 10-15 minute exam, he discussed his accessment and make recommendations. My last physical (2012) was all of about 10 minutes... lots of small talk...when I mentioned a few issues I didn't feel like he cared. I was sent to lab for the standard blook work up... Then I received a standard draft fill in the blanks letter about 7-10 days later with blood work test results. With regards to prescriptions - the electronic request always have an issue... after 3-4 times, I now leave the office with a hard copy of the prescription to save myself the time/aggravation of getting to the pharmacy and the pharmacist telling me they do… not have a prescription.I am looking for a new primary care doctor!

I was a patient for years, but for some reason i got a letter from him stating he is terminating me as a patient. The reason, late paying a bill.I tried explaining I am good for it, i was unemployed. I was a patient for over 10 years. When I first came to Allara he was so compasionate, never saw a dotor like him. He was on his game. As his office grew and he became rich, e was no longer compassionate. Infact a i ran into a girl tha worked for him for years said to me that Allara said to her, if I ever become uncompassionate and stuck up like most doctors become, kick me. Well she quit. She even said he changed. Very classic of what greed will do to you.

Dr Allara is average. He is not thorough. All of the doctors and NPs in this practice rush you through and treat the operation like a business and don't treat patients like patients or even clients. I get the distinct impression that the doctors don't care to listen to their patients, they just view their patients as revenue generators. The receptionists are often rude and snippy. I have had good experiences with Doctor Yoon, but that is about it.

The first word that comes to my mind when I hear the name Dr. Allara is AWESOME. He spends time with you and listens. I have never seen him without a smile on his face. If you run into him outside of the office he stops and chats with you. You can tell he truly loves his job and the people he services.If you are looking for a great doctor Mark Allara is his name.
