Dr. Mark Stuart Bertin, MD

Excellent doctor. Truly an expert in his field. He is what my family has been looking for.

He is nice and soft spoken. The office apt. Process is weird, Carol the sect. is not at the location, I think it is a service? He offers more of a consulting service than a peds care provider. I think if your looking for a long term provider go elsewhere. Difficult to get follow up appointments. You can’t email or call him directly. Does not Accept Insurance . Consult costs around $750, then $400 per visit.

Dr. Bertin is an excellent physician who is truly an expert in his field. He is helping our family ensure we are supporting our son's development to the best of our ability while helping our family better understand his delays. He has been a Godsend to our family.

Dr. Bertin has been deeply effective in assisting our family at a very difficult time. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. Our son was struggling and his help set our family on the right track, we all breathed better knowing that we were in good hands. He was honest and careful which made us feel that weâ??d met the professional that we needed to guide us on our path. We were very satisfied.

We've been seeing Dr. Bertin for years. He is always easy to talk to, thorough, and easy to understand. He's helped us through things at home and school, and everything is going great now. Really couldn't recommend him higher.

Dr. Bertin was opinionated and arrogant. He could not even find the time to contact my son's speech therapist to discuss his progress. When I cancelled my appointment, because he was not doing his job, he wanted to charge me a cancellation fee (even though I called 2 days in advance). This man is not looking to help, only to charge you another $300+ dollars a session to do nothing.

Arrogant and dismissive. 30 days after he told us our son didn't have a medical issue and just needed help improving his behavior, our son had a seizure and was diagnosed with a form of epilepsy that was the root cause of all his problems. He had us and all our teachers, etc. fill out long forms, which he seemed to ignore. We called to inform him about the seizure and he didn't care enough to call or invite us back to explore the situation further.

We went to see Dr. Bertin after a friend recommended his book to us. Our child was seen/assessed over two visits for almost three hours and he has been available for follow up over the phone. Dr. Bertin provided a lot of useful information about education and behavioral management, and we never felt he was doing anything but providing information for us to consider about medication. If you're looking for a caring, compassionate and sensitive doctor who is easy to talk to, I can't recommend him enough.

Be careful when taking your child to this doctor. He is quick to diagnose ADHD and pushes meds. According to my pediatrician an evaluation takes longer than 45 minutes and should happen over a period of time over different times. Took my child to him for evaluation years ago and he was diagnosed with ADHD. Turns out that he doesn't have it but I think this doctor would have seen this had he taken the time to evaluate him correctly.
