Dr. Mark Patrick Bielawny, MD

I complained about menopausal symptoms. He did not ask me any questions about my symptoms. He said I was getting old and that I should look up different treatments on the internet. What?!! Are you kidding me? He refused to answer my questions or give any medical advice.

I absolutely love Dr. Bielawny. I have been seeing him for years and he has always been wonderful. I have had two pregnancies where he has taken great care of me. He has great beside manner. He always tells you things straight up and asks if you have any questions. I hope he never retires.

There is no better gyno or OBGYN in Orlando. I recommend him to everyone. He literally saved my life.

Save yourself and DO NOT make and appointment with this Doctor! His staff is unprofessional and incredibly rude. While trying to speak to the receptionist she cut me off and hung up on me. I called back right away and nobody would answer the phone! This was because my insurance was not accepted after being told I was accepted and an appointment was made for me. I receive an incredibly rude voicemail just saying that my appointment has been canceled. IF YOU ARE PREGNANT DO YOU AND YOUR BABY A FAVOR AND SAVE YOUR TIME!

I love this doctor. He is by far the kindest doctor I have ever seen. He took me through both my pregnancies. he did not deliver both times but visited afterward. He is caring and gentle and makes you feel so cared for. I see him for all my girly problems too. He is so very helpful.

Have gone to him for more than 8 years great doctor, answers all your questions and doesn't Rush you

Dr. Bielawny seem to be nice. He has answered all of my questions at my visits. He seems to be reassuring. I like him so far, BUT his office staff not so much. Namely the appointment desk. It takes FOREVER For someone to pick up the phone. I had to literally go to the office after calling nonstop. I have sat in the office and watched the staff NOT answer the phone AND they were sitting seemingly doing nothing that would warrant them NOT answering the phone. They are the worst! Then I called asking for a refill and it was never called in. I called twice and the pharmacy called AND faxed a request. The nurse said she didn't get the request and then proceeded to call in the WRONG script! If you can actually get a human on the phone and get an appointment you will like Dr. Bielawny.

What an amazing Dr! 100% professional and very educated. He and his staff have been taking wonderful care of me for nearly 5 years. I changed insurance companies and had to wait to see if I was on the right plan that Physicians Associated accepts (I was terrified they wouldn't accept my new insurance) and thank the good lord they do. I get to continue to see my favorite doc! Thank you so much Dr. B. :)

Dr. Bielawny is an amazing doctor. I will not see any other doctor for my yearly check ups. After the check up he sits with you to discuss any concerns or question you may have. This is why you may wait a very long time before you're seen. He is very gentle and caring. Remember you are not his only patient.

First, getting an appointment with Dr. Bielawny is the worst - I've had to literally go into the office to schedule one because they won't answer the phone and won't return the messages they make you leave when they don't answer. But that is not the real reason why I'm writing this review. I had been experiencing problems for years with pain, odor, excessive bleeding, frequent urination, etc., which Dr. Bielawny had either attempted to treat on occasion but was unsuccessful in doing so or flat out glossed over. After having imaging studies done for another purpose and learning I actually had all kinds of issues that showed up on the imaging, I went to Dr. Bielawny to get his recommendation on what could be done so I could finally find relief. I finally had physical evidence of the cause of my symptoms. After sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes, I then proceeded to sit in the exam room a whole hour before he came in, the light going off on me four times while I waited… because it was motion activiated and nowhere near where I had to sit. And within 10 seconds of entering he told me he would do nothing, that he read my imaging studies and nothing was justified, that my problems were minor, no big deal and he would recommend doing nothing. I burst into tears. He was not phased but, instead, annoyed. He was cold and unsympathetic, reiterated the problems were so completely minor, not even worth addressing and that they could not possibly be the cause of my symptoms, that it had to be something non-gynecological related. He even grabbed one of his little display charts to show me just how small my fibroids were and spoke to me like I had the intelligence of a preschooler. I was absolutely shocked and humiliated. He did then proceed to say if I wanted him to perform a hysterectomy he would but that it was just not medically justified. Shocked again - a doctor willing to perform a procedure he believed wasn't medical necessary, and based on nothing more than that the patient says it's what they want? That was enough for me to promptly leave the office and never return, except to sign forms to transfer my care to another doctor shortly thereafter. I did go see another doctor shortly thereafter for a second opinion and within a month had a total hysterectomy, something that was recommended based on the symptoms and findings on my imaging studies and something insurance would have never approved if they thought it wasn't necessary (believe me, they are picky about everything!). Turned out I had endometriosis, adenomyosis, cervical cysts, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, adhesions, uterine polyps and a uterine tumor to boot. Most of this was already known by the imaging studies I had had prior and the rest was easily discerned from my symptoms and complaints. It's been six months since I had the surgery and I am period free, pain free, and the bladder problems I had for months from my uterus laying smack on it are gone. The other doctor was able to keep my ovaries so I am hormonally intact and the scarring is so minimal people don't even believe I had it done through my belly. The proof is in the pudding - I was miserable before the surgery and have felt wonderful ever since!! I still can't believe Dr. Bielawny said my gynecological problems had nothing to do with how bad I was feeling, and I can't imagine how miserable I would be now had I not had the surgery! I was so disappointed in the rude, condescending attitude of Dr. Bielawny and his refusal to address my problems even in the face of documented medical evidence justifying his attention. I would never recommend him to anyone.
