Dr. Mark Borchelt, MD

Dr. Mark Borchelt is a nice caring doctor who spends time with you. I visited another thyroid doctor in Biloxi in the past and Dealt with rude office workers and bullies.

I have Hashimoto's. I had an attack and gained 16 lbs in 4 weeks. I called for an appointment and had to wait 8 weeks to be seen. By the time that I was seen, I had gained 20lbs. The flair up was ending. He drew TSH and T4. They were bairly normal and he did not want to change my treatment. He had NO concern to help we with the 20 lbs that the flair had caused. He put in my chart that I needed to exercise more. However we had a discussion in which I lol'd him I was exercising 3 times a week at 45 minutes each when the flair caused the weight gain. He did not care and refused to even discuss helping me loose it. I was on a diet and getting exercise when Hashimoto's cause me to gain weight faster than pregnancy. He said that it was my problem and he was not concerned. .

Dr Brochelt in one visit was able the solve my health issues After 7 other doctors and 4 years couldn't help me.

I was seeing another doctor who left Dr. Borchelt and was referred to Dr. Borchelt. I paid a lot of money for about a 5-7 minute visit. He didn't look at me check me out or say anything other than, you're a diabetic so you need cholesterol medication. I'm a transplant patient. He never checked with my liver doctor at Ochsner to see if I could take it. (I can't). I will not be returning.

Have thyroid cancer with surgery and radiation. Any time I expressed symptoms I was having his pat answer was always 'We don't treat that...go to your PCP.' After 1 1/2 years of dealing with him, did go to my PCP, did thyroid studies and am extremely HYPER thyroid...hence all my symptoms. Referred to another endo Dr. I can't believe this man is in practice. Makes me wonder why he left Florida. ???

Impressive group. Doctor was well prepared for my appointment and spent lots of time answering questions and spending time explaining things. The whole staff was great.

Dr Borchelt has treated myself and my 65 year old husband for at least 20 years. He is very professional and attentive to detail. You know where you stand with him and has a great way of explaining what is happening to you . I do believe he saved my husband life several years ago, while treating him for diabetes, he discovered something was not right, he recommended we see a vascular surgeon. My husband ended up having a surgery for a 97 % blockage in his carotid artery. I would recommend him to anyone, a doctor always on time and very accurate on Diagnosis. Thankful for him and his professional service

I don't know who posted that Dr . Borchelt thinks he's a god but that is far from the truth..this man has great bed side manner ever patient that's sees him loves him ..I promise you I'm a patient and he's a funny loving doctor

I have been seeing Dr. Borchelt for years for 2 different issues. He is a great doctor, very professional, asks questions, talks about different treatments when needed. I appreciate his honest, upfront atittude. I follow his advice and have been very successful in managing my diabetes. Altho Dr. Borchelt is firm and straighforward, it is for my own good. I would and do recommend him to anyone who wants an excellent doctor.

I asked a question about other types of treatment and was belittled for even asking. He insinuated that I lied about other family members NOT having the same condition.
