Dr. Mark Richard Borowicz, MD

I have been a patient of Dr, Borowicz since retiring to Myrtle Beach in 2011. He has followed up on my AAA, performed fem/fem surgery, RF Ablation of a vein in my leg and generally been my “go to” guy for all things vascular. Dr. Borowicz is without a doubt one of the most down-to-earth doctors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is incredibly knowledgeable and not at all hesitant to make a referral to another vascular surgeon if he encounters problems not within his areas of expertise or comfort level. Great doctor, great guy!

My husband had surgery performed by Dr. Borowicz, with a follow up, emergent surgery performed by two of his partners a week later. During follow up visits to Dr. Borowicz's office, the resident was sent in to meet with us rather than the doctor. We asked to speak with the doctor. The resident left the exam room and we overheard Dr. Borowicz tell her that "he was too busy to answer questions". He did ultimately come into the exam room, but that was after overhearing him discuss college basketball with someone in the hall. The doctor might be quite skilled, but we did not get the benefit of that skill either through surgery or follow up.

Great doctor care. However, be prepared for dysfunctional, rude and in efficient not to mention not truthful office staff.

Dr Borowicz is an extremely talented surgeon. He operated on my mother and truly saved her life 2 years ago. Last year I went to his vein center (The Vein Center) and had cosmetic work on my legs that I LOVE and wish I had done years earlier. The nurses and techs there are TOP NOTCH!
