Dr. Mark Rau Christofersen, MD

Dr. Christofersen is honestly the best doctor I have ever met in my life. My 5 year old son had a very complicated break in his arm from a fall off the monkey bars. It was a very scary situation for us and he was able to make us both comfortable and relaxed before, during and after the surgery. On both follow up appointments he has done a wonderful job explaining things to us, letting us know what to expect etc.

When an accident happens you want to be able to trust your doctor is giving you the best care and advice, I never had to question dr. christofersen he explained everything in detail, he really cared about my experience and my emotions. He listened to my concerns. I think as a patient that’s all we really want, a doctor who listens, a doctor who cares and a doctor who makes us feel safe and secure with our health plan. He does all that and more. The staff was kind and patient, the office was clean and everyone had such a great attitude. I would recommend Dr. Christofersen to everyone.

My 5 year old daughter had a cyst on the back of her leg. My son also had a broken arm and came with us (bad week) Dr. Christopherson not only put me the mother at ease but made both my children at ease as well. We all came out in a better mood and had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this doctor to anyone especially with children.

His staff and nurse along with himself were really nice and did an excellent job.

My daughter saw Dr Chris. recently and we loved him, had us laughing for sure . Took our worries away!

Dr Christopherson was one of the kindest doctors that I have ever been to for myself or my family. He set (and cast) my sons broken arm in a manner that saved us thousands from not having to have surgery. He is very great and patient with children also. I will be recommending the Dr. Christopherson to all of my friends and family.

Dr. Christoferson was great with my daughter. We left her appointment very informed of her condition, he took the time to explain everything thoroughly and wasn’t in a hurry to get us out. Definitely would recommend him, he truly is an awesome dr.

Dr. Christofersen was very personable. He took a great interest in our son and his health. He didn’t rush into unnecessary procedures but did prepare us for worst case scenario of our son’s broken arm even while hoping for the best with a demeanor that set us at ease. We wholeheartedly recommend him and his staff.

I took my daughter to see Dr. Christofersen for a second opinion regarding her scoliosis. We are nearing the point of considering spinal surgery and I needed more information. Dr. Christofersen spent more time with us than I expected, and he walked us through information I did not know regarding the risks and rewards of the surgery. Most importantly, he explained things in a way that my 15-year-old daughter could understand, including drawing diagrams. She feels much more at ease discussing whether surgery will be an option. The office is well run, organized, and the staff is friendly and professional. The only negative I experienced was parking at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. This is certainly no fault of Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, but it was atrocious! St. Thomas needs to do something about parking. I saw active construction, so hopefully that means some parking garages are being built. Thank you, Dr. Christofersen!
