Dr. Mark Ambrose Fontana, MD

The only complaint was the girl that was at the front desk. I am not sure if she is still there or not but she was very loud and not professional at all. Due to her being so loud on the phone the people in the waiting room were able to hear everything about the patient including the name and date of birth. Dr. Fontana is amazing as well as the clinical staff.

Best damg doctor I have ever visited.

I was ID'ed to at least one person off the street and then told what my "treatment plan" (that wasn't correct) was. If you want privacy, that is a huge issue. If you want things said about you that are not completely factually correct, why? Why did a doctor say twice they weren't supposed to talk about patients but do any way, especially when it gives a derogatory reputation to a patient who didn't deserve it?

He is the only one I trust with my care.

He can operate. May give conflicting instructions, & blame you for non compliance. May leave you without care if a problem occurs. If you don't leave and find help elsewhere, may get an attitude with you. Have found nurses & patients talk about how cute he is, which I wonder might be part of his "fame". Was unable to diagnose a simple issue needing an operation that 2 other groups' surgeons diagnosed immediately. I may be permanently damaged because of some issues that developed while still under his care. One of his doctor recommendations was for one who had a multimillion $ verdict for a patient who died. May not always answer questions or answer them completely. May not always tell you of all treatment options. Stated that 'if you don't do what I say, I'll write it in your notes, so that other doctors will see it & wonder why'. Get everything you can in writing. Review recommendations against current medical advice, they may be different. Staff is fabulous, but some may talk.

As long as you stick to the three surgeries, simple things, you are ok. However, if he's wrong, you may have problems. Big problems. Also tends to be a little more involved in patients than is really good. Doesn't seem to remember that the followups are more expensive, and if you have to pay for bands being adjusted, etc. that can be an issue. Isn't very organized either. The office staff is fabulous, contrary to what some people wrote. They're pretty much great. Now and then there are blips when parties are being held, but its not true for everyone in there.

He seemed short with me. I did not like his bedside manner. Did not seem very compassionate.
