Dr. Mark Alan Friedberg, MD

RUN from this doctor!!! He botched my cataract surgery and now I have blurry vision, almost constant pain, extremely watery eye, and other weird problems! The whole experience was horrible! I came out of a very long surgery with a VERY bloody eye which is not normal. This was a straightforward surgery with no complicating issues. Also I should have had astigmatism taken care of at the same time, which I requested, but he assured me that it was unnecessary and I would have perfect vision post-op without it. Not true! Not to mention that he was not very nice, but that was the least of my complaints. Office is also dumpy and equipment far from state of art. I later had cataract surgery on the other eye with another surgeon and it was a piece of cake with wonderful results. The difference was night and day!

Dr. Mark Friedberg performed cataract surgeries on my left eye on 9/9 and on my right eye on 9/23. Thank you to Dr. Friedberg who did an excellent job. I have not seen this clearly in many years. Dr. Friedberg is extremely professional, thorough, patient and caring. He dotted every “i” and crossed every “t”, answered every question that I had and successfully addressed the issues that I have with my equilibrium when I lay on my back. Thank you also to the staff at Midatlantic, especially Elana, who answered numerous questions that my wife and I both had. I highly recommend Dr. Mark Friedberg and the Midatlantic Eye Center.

Just finished my second cataract removal surgery with Dr Friedberg and would highly recommend him! He is very knowledgeable and professional and although not a warm and fuzzy doctor he answers all questions in a caring manner and is truly concerned w putting a patient at ease.

I was beyond upset and petrified with fear because I had a retinal tear and needed laser surgery. While I was in Dr. Friedberg's waiting room on November 14, an older couple and another woman saw how distraught I was and proceeded to tell me about their great experiences and wonderful results that they had with Dr. Friedberg that dated back 20 plus years and that I was lucky to be here. They told me that patients come from out of state just to get an appointment with him. I had the surgery that same day. I can't say enough about Dr. Friedberg's expertise and dedication to his profession. His kind demeanor made me feel reassured and safe. Dr. Friedberg is an amazing doctor with an extraordinary gift. He saved my eyesight, I will be FOREVER GRATEFUL. Thank you Dr. Friedberg, God bless you always.

I experienced an ocular emergency over the weekend and Dr. Friedberg took my call, travelled hours from another state to meet me at his office, opened his office and operating room to do emergency surgery to save my vision. He's totally dedicated to his profession and is an incredibly skilled eye surgeon. He literally wrote the book at Will's Eye Hospital. I highly recommend Dr Mark Friedberg and his staff.
