Dr. Mark Anthony Gardon, MD

I saw Dr Gardon in Fort Smith for Chiari Malformation He was very short with me and unprofessional. He did not properly notate my records with all the symptoms and issues that I am having.

I feel blessed by having an surgeon like Mark Gordon do surgery on the upper and lower spinal cord. I was born with spinal meningitis which cause my lower and upper spinal cord to be deformed. So I was always in pain from my early years up until I am 67 years old and now I'm pain free. I was losing feeling in my lower extremities and and Mark found that I was 99% blocked in the spinal fluid going to my legs which was causing my legs to go numb. I have seen a lot of doctors that could not figure out what was going on with me but Mark only took less than an hour to figure out the problem I am glad that he was able to make a decision without a board of four or five surgeons to make a decision to put a person's life on hold I feel blessed that God has put this man in my life and what he has done for me at 67 I feel 30 years younger and now I'm retired and now I can enjoy my life with my grandkids and family please do not hesitate to have Mark Gordon do surgery. I believe he is sent by God… to help the human race

He may be a skilled surgeon but that pales in comparison to his complete lack of empathy. By far the most rude human being I have had the displeasure of knowing. After my husband’s surgery he stopped by the room. Asked my husband how much pain he was in. My husband said a 10 plus and Dr Gardon gave us a lecture on how he told us in advance that it would be rough. Then proceeded to tell us about all the pro football players he had treated. zero empathy in this man.

Dr. Gordon performed spinal stenosis surgery on me 5 years ago with excellent results. I continue to be pain free with zero restrictions. I highly recommend this very competent surgeon.

Dr. Gardon is an excellent doctor. He did an Anterior Cervical Decompression and Grafting C5-7 and has added so much to my quality of life. Through it all his staff as well as himself always answered my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this team.

Horrible dr not professional denied my referrals ive got chronic headaches neck and back pain everyday i cry degenerative discs pressing on nerves and denies my get rid of him and,stsff very rude going somewhere else

I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Gardon. The surgery performed not only relieved the pain but did so with the minimum of post-op pain. Great doctor in my opinion.

Several things impressed me immediately about Dr. Gardon. It is a goal of his to produce a precise diagnosis while at once remaining concerned about the patient's questions and thoughts. The surgery which he performed on me (laminectomy) is one that might cause some pause with many, however due to my trust in this man I actually looked forward to it. Following surgery he stopped by my room twice to speak with me during my stay and was always clear in his expectations of the results of the procedure. He really cared about my situation; though he no doubt routinely performs laminectomies, in no way did I feel as though I was being treated as just another case. I am walking as I once did years ago and cannot thank this surgeon enough for his expertise!

I found Mark Gardon to be genuine and caring. He took time to carefully explain my procedure and the procedure (lumbar laminectomy) went without a single hitch. I was up and walking within hours and I immediately noticed the absence of the symptoms that had been a constant bother since I was 19. He told me what to expect post surgery and everything followed exactly -- except a bit faster than predicted (which I appreciated greatly). Due to the surgical schedule, follow-up appointments sometime times were slightly delayed, but never cancelled. Never got the feeling I was being rushed out the door.

Fantastic Surgeon. I found Dr. Gardon to be the best in his field of expertise. I would highly recommend Dr. Gardon. HIs professionalism, sincere concern for me when I was in pain, compassion, and surgical skill makes him an outstanding doctor to have for your needs.
