Really can't so enough about how bad he and his staff are. Cancel appointments, no call backs, call you the day before for time for surgery. No calls after procedure. he does not explain anything to you.

I was worse after my back surgery. The rudest, non caring Dr I’ve ever seen!! When he asks me what procedure we were doing just before my surgery, he argued with my answer. He finally went & checked, then came back & agreed I was correct! At post operative appt, I walked out, he was so argumentative!

First it takes for ever do get a procedure done. Then when scheduled he cancels and wait another 3 and 1/2 weeks. Not the most friendly guy, really only talks to you for about 2 or 3 minutes at appointment. Day of procedure reads chart and signs his name on your back and then gone. Never really ask you anything, anyway not much to choose from in area so we are basically stuck.

This is a busy practice but well worth the wait! I feel as if a miracle had been performed on me! No more sciatica! Thank you!

Dr. Giovanini ordered a CT scan for me but staff has not scheduled and will not return my calls after numerous left messages. Close to a month now in the mean time I'm in very much pain just waiting. It's horrible!!!

Dr. Giovanini spent only 5 minuets in the room. Refused to look at mri, along with Dr. notes and Radiologist report. He will order unnecessary test. I went to my PCM and explained the test he wanted to do and PCM also agreed my symptoms and mri didn't match the test he wanted to have done. I was informed that I was not the only person this has happened to with this dr. so be careful when going to this dr. If referred to this dr thru insurance I would suggest getting a different referral.

Thank God for his Nurse Practitioners. Dr Gio is an outstanding neurosurgeon. He will not be your best friend or even explain things clearly with you sometimes. I have spoken to MANY people he FIXED and made my decision knowing he was not well versed in Dr/Patient relationships. ALMOST reminds me of Shaun on the Good Doctor although, not that extreme. SO, My Neck:. For years I was in excruciating pain and had to turn my body to talk to someone or look behind when driving. HE Fused C 4 5 6 7 gave me 100% relief. not 85% or 90% but 100%. My Lower back. Dr Gio performed a C 3 4 5 Fusion. My 3rd Operation there. So, I can not blame him for trying to fix other peoples screw ups... IT is better but at the moment. Not 100%. Just better than before. My Lower back is complicated by my Right SI joint pain that is EXTREME and disabling. I am looking forward to Dr GIO using his minimally invasive Outpatient skills and Technology to FIX this huge problem. This… had me in the ER recently for level 12 pain on the 1- 10 scale. SO Why did I open with the Nurse Practitioner statement? They make up for his Savant Genius and interface well with patients for him. I think that Dr Gio has more problems with OTHER Doctors bad or incomplete information that misleads patients more than anything else. I highly recommend him. Do you think would be going in for a 3rd surgery by that Doctor if I did not have COMPLETE CONFIDENCE in him>>>????! I had to give 4 stars because of Patient/Doctor relationships. I DO give 5 for the actual work. PERIOD.

If I could give 0-Stars I would. This “Surgeon” is absolutely horrible. He performed an L3-L4 Fusion. Came out with worse pain than when I went it. I have now had (5) Fusions, and countless other procedures since 2003. I know what I’m talking about. During Post-Op follow-ups - he CONSTANTLY Dismissed MY opinions and pain levels, because as he said, “My work is perfect, looks great. Lets try a Spinal Cord Stimulator”. If he even bothered to listen to me or read my file - he would know I already had that done! He is SO Arrogant - Needs a Name yah that reads “Dr. Perfection”. Went to a different 5-Star Rated Surgeon - His Mouth dropped open when he saw the New CT Scan - The hardware Dr Giovannini installed was falling apart and loose - New Doctor said, “You could wait 15-Years and this would NEVER Fuse together. Well, 3-weeks ago I had my new surgeon operate. Within 2-hrs after surgery, my excruciating pain was gone, I was up and walking! Felt better that I have in 15+ Years. … Stay Far Away from Arrogant Dr. G - unless you want a life of Pain and Suffering. I will say this same statement with my hand on a Bible in ANY Court of Law. This man is Horrible!!!! ZERO-STARS!!!!!!

I choose dr Giovanni to do a L5-S1 posterior fusion. He ended up hurting me. He was too rough or someone in the operating room hurt me while I was under anesthesia. I came out of surgery with pain on my anterior side. I told dr Giovanni, he dismissed it. It took me years to find out that I did suffer an injury due to my surgery. My nerves and fascia are trapped in my muscles from being pushed I to a bar or the operating table. This injury cost no only my job, but it also prevented me from having children. Unfortunately, the statues of limitations had run out. I am now left to suffer in chronic pain. I would not recommend him to anyone after my traumatic experience.

Dr. Gio said easy & quick surgery. Of course I was apprehensive but he did not lie. The minute I woke up from surgery it was instant no numbness no tingling & no pain. I was so happy & relieved. Now I am 3 weeks post-op & loving life. Thank you.
