Dr. Mark Edward Goebel, MD

Dr. Goebel is an excellent and straight forward doctor who tells you what to expect. He has great staff and the hospital (OrthoNebraska) is the happiest hospital I have every been treated in for anything. He is a man of character that you can trust.

Dr. Goebel had replaced both of my knees. He is kind and understanding. I would highly recommend him for joint surgery. His staff are excellent to work with and they all make sure you understand and answer any questions that you have. Thanks Doc. :D

I have never had a Doctor that stood up for me with medical staff. Dr. Gobel puts his patients first.

If I need an additional surgery he would be my first choice. When I had a concern after my surgery he and his nurse were great about getting me in for an appointment on a short notice and making sure I was ok. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions. I certainly don't mind spending a few extra minutes in the waiting room for a doctor who is easy to talk to, spends time explaining things and making sure all my concerns are addressed before he leaves the room. My recovery time after surgery was especially quick, and I think part of that was because he, his P.A. and his nurse dissipated any fear I had, and they provided a very comforting environment. I highly recommend this surgeon.

Dr. Goebel was very helpful, answered all my questions and Was one of the kindest doctors I have ever seen. I have referred many other people to him with similar results on their behalf.

The lack of consideration I have received from this Dr.'s office is unbelievable. Most times when you have a scheduled appointment you have to wait over two hours to be seen, so not good for those with a busy lifestyle. Also, when I experienced a personal issue with the Dr. and his nurse, requested contact info for their director and was told that they can only call me, I cannot have their number or contact info. Any reputable business should have this on their website, for public info as patients have a right to escalate their concerns if they haven't been addressed properly. He is a good Dr., but just has too many patients to remember and "overbooks" his appt's so they overlap, cause delays, and confusion as to the true depth of his patient's issues/needs when they make requests. His nurse also likes to jump to conclusions and cut you off in the middle of your sentence when you're giving them the opportunity to address or fix an issue.

When my mother had to have a hip replaced, everyone said Dr. Goebel was the surgeon to use. Dr. Goebel was outstanding and very compassionate with my mother. Definitely one of the best in Omaha!
