Dr. Mark H Goldgeier, MD

I had the Dr look at a lesion, and he burned it off with a Soldering Iron. It came right back. He burned it off again. Came back again. So I went to a URMC dermatologist who did histology, and I had Cancer all along. Undiagnosed Cancer for more than a year. If you want a hot soldering iron, he's your guy. If you want to be diagnosed & cured of skin cancer, consider going to a Doctor who actually does diagnostic testing, (ex: Histology) rather than a Doctor who tries to sell cosmetic peels and expensive lotions.

I've been seeing Dr. Goldgeier for years. His expert diagnostic ability, treatments, and necessary referrals have headed off serious health issues for me.

Dr. Mark Goldgeier has been my dermatologist for about 15 years. He discovered I had melanoma and saved my life. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, efficient, and goes the extra mile to care with excellency. I highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr Mark Goldgeier for several decades. During that time he has treated me for numerous precancerous lesions and removed multiple squamous cell and basal cell carcinomas. As a result of his careful and thorough screenings my carcinomas have been detected and removed before they have had a chance to metastasize. He and his office have also provided, at my request, peels and laser treatment of varicose veins and removal of moles. He communicates clearly in a direct manner, which I prefer. A few years ago, Dr Goldgeier decided to stop accepting medical insurance because of restrictions and resistance imposed by the insurance companies on his recommended treatments. Dr Goldgeier now charges a flat fee for each visit and his office provides paperwork for the patient to file insurance claims directly. Since I have out-of-network coverage, my insurance company reimburses me for some of the cost of my treatments. This arrangement is satisfactory for me because… it eliminates the lost time and rescheduling involved in getting pre-approvals from the insurance company. More importantly, it is worth it because of the excellent treatment I receive from Dr Goldgeier. I highly recommend Dr Goldgeier's practice with out reservation. Bill.D

My family have been patients of Dr. Goldgeier for 15-20 years, and he has never steered us wrong. He is what a physician is supposed to be--a healer. He can be analytical and straightforward but that's what he is trained to do. Look beyond that and pay for a professional that can diagnose and treat issues, not make you feel warm and fuzzy. Dr. Goldgeier caught a pre-cancerous melanoma on the arch of my foot several years ago. I don't want to think what my health situation would be today if he hadn't seen and removed it (chemo, surgery, recovery, $$$$, worry, death, etc.) Instead he removed it, sent it out for biopsy, and let me know the results. No wasted time and no nonsense. His pricing structure is unconventional, but is well worth the money if you look at the type of service you'll receive. Because he is free of insurance restrictions, he can do office surgical procedures on the spot. No need to schedule future appointments. I have traditional HMO health insurance, but… if I had the high deductible, I'm sure Dr. Goldgeier's fee structure would be more than beneficial considering the amount of appointments insurance mandates before an office-visit surgical procedure can be done. In addition he offers and recommends products, which I appreciate. He does not “push” these products and services. Would you rather try a non-prescription option before a prescription? What are the side effects and possible long-term damage of these chemicals? Some prescriptions “cover” your symptoms without resolving the underlying issue. Now you’re dealing with the initial problem and the side effects from a prescription you’re taking. I feel prescriptions are “rushed” into the marketplace by the FDA before truly knowing side effects. How many “safe” prescriptions have been pulled or black boxed? Look it up! Ask yourself...do you want a true physician or someone that just writes prescriptions and gets you out the door? Dr. Goldgeier is a physician (trained in internal medicine and dermatology). I genuinely trust Dr. Goldgeier with my health and the health of my children.

Dr. Goldgeier is the doctor's doctor. encyclopedic knowledge, over four decades of experience, easy to talk to and devoted to your well being he and his staff are great. no matter what your concerns, you assured that he will address each problem and come to a plan that works for you. his new friends of the practice is great.
