Dr. Mark Gonzalez, MD

Let me start off by saying that his staff was incredibly helpful and wonderful. Those who greeted me in the morning were kind, his techs were helpful, and his residents were compassionate. Now to Dr. Gonzalez. Without a doubt, my visit with Dr. Gonzalez was the worst experience I have ever had with a physician in my entire life. He not only showed up an hour late, but I could hear him spend less than 3 minutes with patients in neighboring exam rooms as he rushed door to door. When he eventually came into examine me, he spent less than 2 minutes looking at my injury and gave me zero time to ask questions before he scampered out of the room. His visit only left me with more fear and more questions. I am appalled at his obvious lack of bedside manner and would have much rather been seen by his "less-experienced" residents who actually spent the time to care for me and answer my questions. If Dr Mark Gonzalez continues this way, he will continue to be a pathetic excuse for a physician.

Egomaniac and a bad guy - so rude in treatment, doesn't seem to care about any thoughts or questions that aren't his, treats others like garbage. How this man is still allowed to practice is beyond me.

Worst doctor ever. Please run from him and UIC. I woke up twice during the surgery and that was the highlight of my experience from him.

He was seen by my Mother and he was rude and abrupt with is responses to her symptoms.

Dr. Gonzalez has been my orthopaedic surgeon for 23 years and has been my support system the entire time. He is extremely knowledgeable, up-to-date, creative, thoughtful, considerate, and interested in my life., other than as his patient! When I first had need of his services he was assigned to me because of his expertise in acetabular reconstruction...I could not have been luckier!
