Awful bedside manner. Makes you feel like it is your fault. Minimizes injuries. Told conflicting things from him and my physical therapist. Did not believe me when I said I did my therapy. Told conflicting things from him and other doctors. The other doctors were much more concerned for my well being whereas he blamed it on my "weak core". I have also been diagnosed by multiple doctors with scoliosis. He said "who told you that?? that is wrong" Arrogant. Seems right and is convincing until you look more into it. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Really listened to my daughter. Really took the time to explained things so well that we understood everything and no longer had any doubts or concerns. Really cares about his patients. My daughter and I are very thankful that we chose Dr. Halstead! It's a relief knowing she is getting the best care in every way! Highly Recommend!

My daughter had a severe sprain and a possible break in her ankle. He was polite and professional but did not take the time to really exam my daughters swollen, bruised and very sore ankle. He did ask her how she hurt her ankle. My daughter, 23, stated she and a friend was out for dinner and had a couple of drinks. When she stepped off the curb her ankle got twisted and she fell to the ground. She was not able to put any weight on the ankle and it immediately swelled. She went to the ER where they did x-rays and told her to follow up with an orthopedic, which she did. However, Dr. Halstead did not take her injury seriously even though she could not bear weight 2 days afterwards, the foot, ankle and calf were swollen (1.5 - 2 inches more than the other one) and significant bruising was noticeable. He pressed around on her foot and ankle. He indicated that thousands of people sprain their ankle it is very common. He told her not to baby it because it would just get stiff and harder to… move. He wanted her to start some basic exercise on her foot and ankle, bear weight on it after a couple of days and indicated to her she could wear a boot but not necessary. Fast forward a couple of days later my daughter still in extreme pain, more bruising and the swelling had not decreased. She made another appointment with someone different, a nurse practitioner, and they stated to her that she had a severe sprain and 2 possibly 3 broken small bones in her ankle. The nurse practitioner immediately put a cast on her foot and wants to do a follow-up in a week. I was very disappointment that he did not take the time to really exam her foot/ankle and just dismissed her. Not sure why but very unprofessional. Glad we did not take his advice and sought a second opinion.

Dr. Halstead has taken care of both of my kids and now me. I trust his judgement and he truly seems to enjoy working with kids. We have a very active family and even though at times we have had to stop being active, it is only temporary to make an injury heal. Dr. Halstead does his best to get our kids back being active as soon as it is safe. We have referred many other families to him.

Dr. Halstead helped our daughter following her soccer concussion. We had been to a neurologist previously but found their follow up to be lacking. He helped us understand the concussion and provided guidance and constant support for her with her recovery. Although it was a long road, we truly appreciated Dr. Halstead's care and his advice. He truly cares about his patients.

I agree with the original commenter. I found his bedside manners severely lacking. He had an air of arrogance about him and it seemed like he did not care about my case whatsoever.

I didn't even have an appointment and Dr. Halstead and his staff did everything he could to get me in right away after an injury. He was very courteous and caring, and he followed up with me personally. I would recommend anyone to him.

Very helpful. Great with runners! Would definitely recommend him. Not sure why previous reviewer would comment on bedside manner. Dr. Halstead was very professional and explained things well to me.

Very arrogant, showed a great deal of disrespect. Laughed at me. He needs refresher courses in bedside manner(S)!
