Our family experience with Dr. Harter, especially with Sonya, was almost criminal. For five months she jumped around with diagnosis from a cold to dying of liver cancer. Finally I stepped in and sent my mom to a specialist in Charlotte. Not dying of cancer, but of congestive heart failure. The five months we wasted with the know-nothings at Dr. Harters office could have helped a lot, especially considering that my mom shouldn't have eaten salt (Dr. Harter told her she could eat anything she wanted.) Please go somewhere else, for the sake of your loved ones.

I have to disagree with the other ratings. The office staff is very professional. I have seen both the doctor and the nurse practitioner, and both had a terrific bedside manner, were courteous, and very nice. The wait is quite long, but once you are in to see the drs, all of their attention is focused on you. Frankly, I don't really care how long I wait so long as the doctor is not distracted or rushing me out of there once I am in an exam room.The doctor DOES bring his dog into the office, and I think this is great. As a dog lover, I love this. If you do not like dogs, I would not recommend this practice.

Very disappointed we never get to see doctor have to see nurse practioner. She is very insensitive. All she wants to do is push anti-depressents. Even when someone is have the serious side effects. She clearly does not care about patients.

He brings his dogs to the office and lets them run loose. Also, he plays with them in the hall and doesn't wash his hands.
