Dr. Mark Alan Klaassen, MD

Dr. Klaassen is in high demand because of his knowledge and technical surgical skills. Having to wait a bit is for him an indication that he is giving another patient the time needed to explain or diagnose a problem. Dr. Klaassen has an exceptional bedside manner and was able to work with me from the time my hip pain was severe, then inexplicably improved, to the decision to replace my hip. The mechanical replacement was said to not only eliminate pain, but to have no restrictions in terms of flexibility. Dr. Klaassen comes across as a confident mechanic, "There, that should do it. Everything looks good. Come to see me in a couple of years. You'll be fine. No restrictions." As an engineer I have enjoyed working with him and looking at the surgery as an engineering project. If I need another hip, he will do the job.
