Dr. Mark Elliot Lipitz, DO

We travel over 100 miles to see Dr. Lipitz because he rivals with the best in his field at Johns Hopkins. He is brilliant, very personable, and puts you at ease while testing and discussing your progression of a complicated disease. We won't think of going anywhere else because he is an excellent credit to his dedicated profession.

I would not call him a specialist for sleep study. He knows the basics and can help easy sleep apnea problems. I feel he prefers neurology type patients. I'm a complicated case and he flat out said I was the best I could get. I was so sick from my apnea. Had family doc send me to another specialist who on first visit realized I was retaining to much co2. Was put on different machine and doing good. He spent no time with me other than to look at nurses notes, came in and said he couldn't do any more for me. I tried asking questions but he just said I'll see you in 6 months and walked out. That was so rude.

Went to altoona hospital having a stroke dr lipitz and dr lee treated me, they were both awsome there assistants were awsome to, i didnt know what hapened so they explained it , showed me the mri explained that havent seen him in the office yet so cant rate that at the present

Intuitive, experienced diagnosis. No nonsense. Blunt. Abrupt. Choice of support staff amplifies quality of service and use of staff reflects professional use of physicians time

Dr. Lipitz was not professional his cell phone rang while conducting a EMG and he answered. He began to argue with the person on the phone a few minutes, than walked out of the room. I was laying on table hooked up for the test and he returned after approximately six minutes. He was upset because my hand was cold and he felt I wasn't following directions. He forced parts of my hand and arm to move when I couldn't move them. Was very upset when I left the office and extremely angry from the treatment. Would not recommend this Doctor.
