If you want to save your veins , PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!! I came to this clinic to do sclerotherapy for my little spider veins. I wanted to do just a cosmetics procedure. They advised a full screening of my veins. I did a full screening. I was asked if I have some problems or discomfort with my veins. My answer was ‘not really ‘, maybe when I have a long flight , but I always have stockings (I have been using it for about 10 years). After the ultrasound, Dr. Mark Macumber told me that I have some problems with the great saphenous vein on both legs. (It’s the longest vein in our body). He said that veins won’t get better, it will only get worse, but it is your choice if you want to treat them. When you hear something like this from a doctor, of course, you want to solve the problem, because you TRUST doctor and you care about your health. They did ablation on my 2 legs for great saphenous veins, then I had to do guided injections after ablation.(as I remember it was about 6… visits).Ablation for 1 leg is $2500 ,It’s quite expensive then you do guided injections. It costs good money as well. After all this procedures ,I was finally ready to do sclerotherapy for my little spider veins.(Insurance doesn’t cover it and you will have to pay full amount from your pocket ). After 3 sessions of sclerotherapy, no results were observed, it only got worse. They said , some people need more sessions to see result , come on after 3 sessions you suppose to see some result. I guess they just wanted to rub me as much as they can. Around the same time, my friend came to do sclerotherapy for her veins behind the knees. What do you think Dr. Mark said her: ‘You have some problems with the saphenous vein on both legs.’ They did the same ablations for 2 legs and guided injections after. (again a lot of money from her pocket and insurance). Listen further, my husband has one small visible vein on his right leg, we decided to do Ultra sound in veins clinic of America and see what the doctor will say at this time. What do you think doctor said: ‘You have some problems with the great saphenous vein on both legs and also we will need to do ablation on another 4 smaller veins’. Doesn't that sound suspicious? Three different people and we all have the same problems with the longest veins in our legs ...Of course we decided to get a second opinion and went to another very good privet clinic(not a franchise like a veins clinic in America).They did ultrasound for my husband and told him: ‘You have a healthy great saphenous veins, you don’t need to do ablations for 6 veins’. You just need to do 1 ablation and 1 sclerotherapy. THAT”S IT!!! Dr. Mark Macumber wanted to close his healthy veins without any needs. Can you imagine how I felt. My veins were already closed … I cannot get it back.. I made an appointment to the clinic my husband visited. I had an Ultra Sound and consultation with the founder of this clinic.(This doctor was very professional). I told him about whole story , I showed him my previous ultra sounds. He was not surprised about veins clinic of America, he said that many people come to his clinic after some procedures in the VCA. After closing the veins it’s hard to say whether they were healthy or not. He said :’I DON’T THINK YOU NEEDED AN ABLATION’. Can you imagine how disappointed I was…I didn’t have any symptoms , nothing .. My healthy veins are closed, and now it's more pressure on other veins. A good doctor will never spoil the health of his patients. I can't call Mark Macumber a doctor …They closed healthy veins to me, my friend and wanted to close to my husband…. They don’t care about your health , they care just about money .. PLEASE DON’T GO THERE!!! Save your healthy veins!!!
