Dr. Mark Melden, DO

This doctor treated my son with autism like a criminal. Do not bring your kids to this man. He will berate them and make them feel awful about themselves. We are still working with our son to recover from the way he was treated by this man. Stay away.

I find the actions of this physician very concerning. Our experience with Dr Meldon was extremely concerning. He did not listen to our concerns, made quick dx without getting comprehensive information. My daughter had a rare medical condition yet he acted as if he knew her issues an would not allow experts in her illness to weigh in. Also, after talking to me three times via phone he dx me which is extremely unethical. He made her situation worse and was very manipulative with us. I would warn others not to go to him. He also seems to not be able to take others insight - even other professionals. He refused to talk to other therapist and professionals treating my daughter. Definitely does not know how to collaborate. Very unhealthy in his approach to dangerous. He is insular and it his opinion or no ones.

I've been seeing Dr. Melden now for 3 months. He has a nice office and pleasant staff. It does get busy in the waiting room and feels like a social event sometimes but when you see Dr. Melden, you won't be disappointed.

Dr. Melden was excellent with me and my sister. She was having difficulty with her marriage and she was super depressed. She was up and out of her house within 2 weeks. I know medications aren't always the answer but she sure did a quick turn around after he prescribed her medication. I recomend Dr. Melden to my friends and family.

He is very condescending. Rude, spent 3 mins with me - wrote 3 meds and I was done. Didn't even ask why I was there, more concerned about the fees/ insurance.

I couldn't say enough good about this doctor. He has been life changing for me. He looks at so much more than just the obvious and takes into account all the elements before prescribing treatment. He makes you part of your treatments and offers you choices. He has done blood work and testing that no one else ever did. I feel so blessed to have found him. I am a business owner and struggle with memory, organization and stress. Dr. Melden care has given me the ability to do it all again. Edit

My visit with Dr.? Meldon, to say the LEAST, was a UNHAPPY one. His STAFF for the most part were as GOOD as they possibly could be, but, CONFUSING? At any rate, Dr.? Meldon to me had BAD BEDSIDE MANNER, I felt he was not LISTENING to ME nor CARED. He CUT my MED.'S changed my next appt. and left ZERO REFILL'S or FOLLOW UP with a COVERING Dr. Im now, near none, and NOBODY is around to see? I WIL NEVER ENTER his OFFICE again! PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE.

First up, the office staff are lovely, polite and professional. My first appointment was with Dr Melden's nurse practitioner. I was not aware I wouldn't be seeing him until I arrived for the appointment. The NP had a lovely bedside manner, but prescribed me one ineffective medication and one "wrong" medication. On my second appointment I met Dr Melden. I found him to be condescending, arrogant, abrasive and lacking in empathy. He chided me for weening myself of one medication his NP prescribed, without calling him first. He even commented that one of the medications was a wrong (pointless) med to prescribe me (so why does he allow his NP to do initial consults and prescribe new meds?? I think this is dangerous) It was obvious to me Dr Melden had not read the one page of notes from my previous PDoc about my conditions, yet he felt it necessary to lecture me about my attitude towards treating my mental health. He made me feel that my condition was insignificant (He compared me to the… soldiers he treated with PTSD). Still, i knew he hadn't read my notes. I eventually ended up in tears and Dr Melden explained, "I don't do empathy," What the? I think at this point he realized he had pushed me to far. My third appointment, I took my husband as support. He had to take the day off work, from the military. The medication that Dr Melden prescribed me wasn't working (it happens), so I decided to ween myself off. As requested by Dr Melden, i phoned his office to inform them. I was told Dr Melden would get back to me. Guess what? He didn't get back to me. I am no longer his patient. I now see another Psychiatrist. A fantiastic Dr who has prescribed me entirely different meds, has an excellent bedside manner. My mental health has improved greatly and I have a better quality of life. I don't think Dr Melden is a horrible person with bad intentions, but he really got it wrong when it came to me.

Listened to my situation and symptoms and adjusted and/or replaced my meds to my great benefit.

Would recommend to family and friends.
